That bumper. You could cut it down and make 2 bumpers out of it.

Saw this beauty at work today. IG is @snowboundt4r

I've seen a quite a few with manuals around here, but yeah.. figure 7-9k for OK condition and 12k+ for something nice, and most have been over 200k miles.

Some links for you to comparison shop against...

Looks decent, but high mileage and needs needs some work: https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/denver-1996-toyota-4runner/7424184552.html

Looks kinda thrashed and probably needs more work than the seller is letting on: https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/denver-1998-toyota-4runner/7422066110.html

Looks overlanded. Up to you whether that's a pro or con: https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/denver-runner-sr5-for-sale/7418017705.html

Listing has been up for suspiciously long: https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/aurora-1998-toyota-4runner-sr5/7415255712.html

Dan, tell me why you need two blowers. Don't you have a brand new one collecting dust - much like your truck?

    I would have 3.

but no. It would be a gift for my father. He’s wanted one since he sold the supercharged 3rz taco almost 2 decades ago.

need to jack up the truck today and check balljoints, thinking next to buy moog upper n lowers for 150 and finally lifting it. its either that, or do rear shocks and reseal the rear diff after getting er welded.

Truck is miles better with new fluid and shifter seat tho. no play in gears and cleaner shifts. :bananadance: lots to do

Maybe eventually. But I need to get the alignment issue fixed before I consider selling it or else I'll have to take a big hit on it. Also would need to find something to replace it first because I can't be without a DD

oh and those washers for the trans bolts were like rubber. melted when i backed em out using the impact, then the new drain washer kind of started squishing while i was using the socket to put it back in. went slow but wanted to snug. Sooooo glad i got a new set to put on and will use new as well on the next service in 50 k miles.

There was no real shavings either, just the inside of the drain bolt had lil in it with dark goopy fluid. no clue on the age of the fluid but i put on 50 k myself

Let me know when you need a hand with that supercharger.

Dan may have been asking for a long time, but he'll just let it die on a shelf. :burp:

Debating whether to order a new AC Clutch kit from McGeorge for $118 and return the $30 NSK bearing that I ordered from Amazon.

Another idea would be to order a new Denso compressor from Rock for roughly $290. Take the clutch kit off the new compressor and use it. Save the new compressor for a later date like the next timing belt job and then replace it or if the compressor should experience problems, I would already have a new compressor in the box.

Since I don't have a press, it will cost between $60 to $100 to get a new bearing pressed in around here. The last time I had Tacoma wheel bearings pressed into the knuckle it was $100 a pop.

The C part of a parts store press kit will not reach across the clutch body. I unsuccessfully tried that this morning.

    Tell me about it.

Getting some menudo and barbacoa since we just left Home Depot.

Yesterday morning we found the water heater leaking; since everything was closed we couldn't replace it yesterday.

Coincidentally, I was invited to go wheeling which I haven't done since Sept.

Decided I'll help my FIL with the water heater instead :burp:

I think I will sell the 99 Maxima in the coming months. Nobody drives it. The kids don't care if I sell it. I have a new CV axle stashed away. It may have a leaking Koni shock that came with a lifetime warranty. I can clean it up and maybe find some kid that would like it. I wish my son would take it up in the northwest part of the state and sell it. Though he doesn't have time to mess with it. I would say it was my 2nd best build with the 99 Taco being the best. I think we've had it near 10 years. It is a rare little car if somebody is into this sort of thing.

I'm into that sort of thing, what's the going rate on such a car? I have that headunit in the LC, it has been great.
