What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I started doing the same...gives me a bit of piece of mind since I haven't replaced my factory spare with a 33" yet.

 

Think the attic is worth it? I’ve heard mixed things, ie says too much when stuff in it

 

Did your stock ones happen to squeak when you pressed them? Wondering if these will. I’m guessing disconnecting the negative keeps everything safe during the install

 

My 2020 SR was prewired, yours should be too. I believe anything 2020 and up is prewired at this point.

 

I will probably do that once I get new black tail lights. Debating on which to get

 

I have the attic in my truck and I use carry rags or store a jacket while I use the back seat for tool storage and I use the cord on the underside to hold my ice scraper. The only problem is anyone over 5'8" sitting in the rear seat is going to hit their head on it but it does remove quickly.
It's one of those things that you can live without but is kinda handy sometimes

 

Went to Bryan Beach yesterday. It was about 82 deg. Water was 66. To cold for my skinny ass.

Had the beach to myself.

I've seen a myth buster episode where they tested this theory and having the tail gate up is better than tailgate down for MPG. The best are those strap/mesh cargo tailgates when it comes to gas consumtion

 

Could just tint them. That's what I'm planning to do to knock down the chrome inside the housings for mine.

I didn't have any luck using mineral spirits. Applied a decent amount and scrubbed for several minutes, barely removed anything

@MESO when can I use those buttons on the lower right side to control something else?

 

Replaced transfer case oil. I was a bit surprised to have oil dribbling out of the fill plug. Had to lift the passenger side up a bit to cram it all in there.

 

Weird...and it was made by AVS? I wonder if they changed the formula they apply the logo with? Might have to go straight to paint remover.

 

Use fingernail polish remover, without acetone, and a cotton ball. Used on at least 8 sets of visors.

 

Always wondered how those shackles were installed...firgured there was a bracket...thanks for the pics!

Sandpaper will get it off.

 

I guess I just wasn’t patient enough.. I gave it another shot (using paper towels instead of cotton balls) and it finally came off with about 5 minutes of elbow grease

I went all in with the diode dynamics. I want as much light on the trail to see low hanging limbs and rocks. But anything is an improvement..
