Just installed my bilstien 5100s all the way around. Set at 2.5 and got new 265 70 17s.

Took to the alignment shop today and big surprise...having trouble with the camber.

They said they had to flip the eccentrics to get the camber correct. Apparently they got all the angle in the green however when I look at my truck from the front the front tires still seem to have a slight "V" look. The dude said "you can't go by looks". Does this sound right? He also said that as the truck starts moving the force of the engine corrects the "V". Is this right?

Secondly my truck is very slightly veering left.

The tech said my eccentrics are maxed out so if I get out of alignment again in the future they might not be able to get it in alignment without a camber extension kit. Has anybody heard of this?

This is frustrating. I am going to take it back tomorrow and have them redo it. I would appreciate any advice from you guys to tell them to help them get it right. I attached my final readout.

    Any other solution?

    Thanks

HAHA. you guys didn't answer any of my questions though. Has anybody heard of installing a cam extension kit to correct the problem? Basically longer eccentrics?

It sounds like the alignment shop is trying to get your truck back to toyota stock spec. Once you lift a truck its hard to regain the factory spec without changing your upper control arm with an adjustable control arm. If your not willing to spend the cash on a set of them, all the tech can do to help you is to make your specs as even as possible. It doesnt matter if they "in the red" or green, the more even they are they bettere it will drive. Installing a lift, you should have realized that your truck isnt going to drive like it did when you first got it, This is exactly what I tell all my customers. If your not willing to spend the money on the control arms, your going to have to deal with driving a truck that feels like its been lifted.
That being said, my opinion to you is to take your truck somewhere that knows how to align lifted trucks. It sounds like the one you took it too doesnt know much about alignment angles.. Looking at your sheet, im more concerned with the caster .5 diffrence can cause a pull or wander to the side with the most negative.. Thats whats causing your "veering" to the left.

Thanks man. Your info really helped. Alignment shop does do it on lifted trucks. They also said my drifting is probably due to caster however I guess if they fix the caster then the camber goes off which is "already maxed out". They said this is the reason they recommend camber extension kits.

I have considered UCAs however sounds like the camber extension kits would be an inexpensive alternative? Any info to confirm their statements would be helpful.

Just took some photos of the camber angle cause it appears slightly off to the eye. What do you think?
