I have a 2005 Tacoma 4 cylinder 4wd I would like to add just a little lift to it. Seems like the rear is a bit higher than the front. Any recommendations ? Where and what to buy? $500+\- budget

    Thanks for your responses

Start with what kind of shape your truck is, typically the leafs are sagged out and the front springs have un even wear side to side.

    Next is budget.

Buy a brand spankin new 3rd gen TRD off-road or sport suspension package for a solid extra inch and you can find them on the super cheap too. Maybe as low as $200.00...
Check the 3rd gen buy/sell section.

This sounds perfect. Can I buy them at the Toyota dealership? Recommendations for aftermarket supply house if not available? No problems with my truck being a four cylinder? Tire? Difficult to install?Guess on time to do the work? Thanks to everyone I love this site.

    It's supposed to be.

It's called 'rake' and engineers made it that way on purpose.

When you use the bed for hauling stuff, a 'leveled' truck (a looks thing only) can easily become nose high, which in itself can be problematic.

    Give some thought before proceeding.

If you do proceed, the lightly used (not dealer new) 3rd gen setup is an economical way to go.

    It's certainly a viable option

You can, but why would you? Folks take them off with very low miles because they feel they have to 'upgrade' for various reasons.

    See above.

All the 6 lug vehicle suspensions are interchangeable for the most part

Yes, you need 4. Have no clue what you are getting at here.

Depends on the condition of your 17 yo mounting components, your skills, your tools, your workspace. Since you ask, I'll guess that it might be a good idea to find someone with experience to assist you as you learn.

See above. Rears are quick and easy if it's a shock change only. Fronts are more time consuming.

There is no indicator of where you live. If salt country, be sure to examine the frame condition very well before buying any parts or starting any work. Rust is a killer.
