We had a couple of them growing up, and a Mercury Villager that my dad had for a week before trading it in because it was such a POS

The same reason they play it before thanksgiving and the same reason some asshole coined the idea "Christmas in July"

Damn that's pretty cool, I wonder if it was an option with the 4wd models. The first car I remember my dad buying when I was ~3 or 4 years old was an Aerostar van but it was an auto. I have some memories of us driving around on the beach with it in Corpus Christi, Texas as a kid.

Though it's cool I feel like it's not as cool as he makes it sound. I mean it's still a shit box Ford minivan, just with a stickshift

Get to embark on a 6+ hour drive home tomorrow with a 2 year old in tow, supposed to rain the entire way (been raining for almost a week straight here which is nuts), and the big mountain pass we have to cross to get into LA county is supposed to be getting snow all day long. And we're in our 2WD Rav4

    Should be fun

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
I know there was an LWB with 4WD that shared the 4WD platform with the Explorer. The larger LWB model had the 4.0L V6.

Our first family minivan was an SWB Aerostar with a 3.0L V6. Later we traded another car for the LWB 4.0L platform. Both were good vehicles. We put over 150,000 miles on them. The LWB was comfortable for traveling. The transmission should be the same as an Explorer. Those are getting up in years.

Fighting drifts is a lot less scary when you have a 6” cedar post in front of you and a winch.

definitely had to use both of them

My company said we're closed today due to inclement weather... that means they'll pay me right?

I grew up in the NE, this is a normal level of snow as far as I'm concerned 20211227_055658.jpg
