My oem battery didn't last a year and started leaking acid. It was replaced under warranty with a Toyota true start 84 month warranty battery. Get one of those.

Yeah I'd really rather not spend $400 on the AGM I was just looking at, I'm going to explore this when I get off early. I have AAA too though, can probably just get them to tow me

Mines starting slow too on my ‘20,
The short trips to and from work don’t help, if it continues to start slow I’ll be visiting the dealer to check.

I believe that if you get a battery and the dealer is closed the will pay you back if under warranty.

I do a lot of short trips with a couple longer ones a week with my 2020. So far the battery is fine. Its below freezing every morning...the truck starts right up as my tundra always did.

My battery is still going strong. 35k miles and 4 years. My truck sits outside 5 days a week and I only drive it on the weekends. Don’t see why I wouldn’t get at least another year or two out of it.

Toyota care for first 2yrs and 25k miles includes towing I thought. I would let dealer handle it, or at least offer for them to give you the battery and you will swap it out to save the tow.

So you don't drive it that often either (i.e. not using the electric components enough). Just a theory, anyway. I haven't heard any better explanation.

The battery on my 2019 started leaking a few months after picking it up...MF's wanted to charge me to clean and spray the terminals.

Only got a little over 2 years and 18K miles out of mine. Replaced under warranty with a 72 month warranty on the new one at no cost from the dealer.

Mine in my 2021 lasted less than 3 months….. yes you read that right. Good thing it died when at the dealership having another issues resolved….under warranty. They said it does happen and were not even remotely surprised and replaced it no questioned asked. They ran a full diagnostic anyways to be sure.
They didn’t even ask about the aftermarket light bar as a potential source of the issue.
That was a year ago and no issues since even on cold starts in negative double digits.
Don’t waste your time. Just take it in and have them swap it.

So I got off early and had help jumping it, which to my relief worked and makes me think that since I was at least able to drive to the dealership about 8ish miles away, it's at least not a problem with the alternator. But who knows I guess, the guy at the service counter told me if it's just the battery it would be covered under warranty (as some pointed out here) and then anything else would just depend. So we'll see, here's to hoping it was just a lemon battery and everything else will be fine afterwards. And also that they don't try to say my sliders or suspension didn't have a contributing factor and deny warranty coverage because of them (not likely of course but I've heard the horror stories)

    * Although, am a little confused why the maintainer wasn't able to charge it this morning, but maybe the jump sort of bypassed that. I guess the electrical stuff is somewhat confusing for me, despite having changed starters and alternators myself on previous vehicles
