This is from the vF Forum:
That was in response to some pitchforks that were coming out, but good info.

This is about all that we know about Ultimate other than folks who were given the test tunes:

I really like Valley Runner, but it is also the only tune I have tried. I can accelerate from under 20 mph in 4th gear with the tachometer showing a hair under 1000 rpm on a low grade (guestimate about 3%) so I feel like that is good torque down low. That said, it is not a powerful acceleration and you can tell the engine is at a lower rpm than it likes.

Curious what mods you had done? Getting ready to pull trigger on Pro for my G3 6MT.

Sadly I keep asking about when the tune pack files for 3GR-FKS will be updated with the latest knowledge for current customers on facebook whenever they post their marketing updates, and was told that not only is there no current plans for those tune pack files to be updated but that customers seem to think free updates means forever.

Take that as you will. Unless they deleted the comment it is still up on fb if you want to verify...I could find it and copy/paste if you need me to.

Needless to say I was kinda crushed. I've been waiting for a year (or longer?) for those files to be updated with the latest tune knowledge and new areas of the ECU they have opened now, so that "SFOB 2.0" can be updated. Wondering if they get so much money from coyoza/kdmax licensing that they don't want to produce a tune that would compete? Why did I purchase the tune pack for $300 or was it $350 for a single file back then if it isn't ever going to be updated?

the main things that relate to the tune are solid motor mounts and a custom free flow exhaust with dump tubes. but i have lots of other stuff going on, just not all drivetrain.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than the MT tunes were considering to be complete. I feel that this Ultimate thing is bonus time for us and will be grateful to get it whenever it happens. I have other feelings on the AT side, but that is a different story.

Fantastic build. I was wondering what tweaks you had done to the tune?

the throttle efficiency target map was adjusted to sharpen the release on throttle lift, and this was the main thing i needed to keep running this tune. that had the minor side effect of losing some of the overall smoothness, but that's more how i like it to drive anyway. I'm now running a second adjustment to cylinder filling to alleviate a gas smell on idle, and I've run rich on all these tunes, so this is nice... truck seems to run better but it's still early days. I'm comparing 3 adjustment levels on 3 different tune files right now. Kreg's service is above & beyond.

I scratched my shift lever so I want to remove it and see if I can touch up the scratches.

Has anyone removed their shift lever before? From what I've read:
    1. Remove shift knob
    2. Pop out center console assembly and pull the assembly and boots over the shift lever and e-brake lever
    3. Remove 2 screws + 2 plastic clips from rubber shift boot
    4. Press down on metal shift lever collar and rotate counter-clockwise to free shift lever
    5. Reverse steps when done (?)

    I finally felt it! :D

It was 20F leaving work today and I finally felt the slow clutch. I'm sure we had at least one similar day in the past four years, but I don't recall that feeling. Even at a stoplight up the road, it was still slow. No issues with the clutch slipping, so that's good.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Tween December and March, we typically call that Tuesday

Now you know, the struggle is real...but ya, there is no slippage at all as a result.

I'm not to thrilled with these temps. I almost have to put the flip flops away.

I couldn't imagine dealing with real winter weather again.

I got in my truck this morning, pushed in the clutch to start it, and it didn't raise when lifted my foot!!! I pushed back down and started cycling it until it started moving... first time it has done that!!! Clearly temperature related...

This was my first time. I know we have seen slightly colder temps in the past 4yrs. Also, folks say that they have felt it at much higher temps.

    Just a thing.
