I pawned my Remington 243 that my dad purchased for me when I was 15, needed to put food on the table. I've always regretted that one getting away. Plain Jane gun, but shot like a dream.

I still have my first rifle and shotgun (Remington Sportsman 74 Auto 30-06 with the box and a Stevens Model E .410 pump) my parents gave me, sold my first pistol they gave me a few years ago to buy another pistol. I never liked the pistol, don’t miss it either.

Same thoughts, what purpose does it serve to get rid of any of them?

I sold a few when I was much younger and we needed grocery money.
HK USP, $60 SKS, Makarov and a Mossberg 590.
They were all great guns, and I really liked that Makarov, but ammo was always tough to find (9x18).
I recently bought a new carry gun and was going to sell my old one, but have pretty much decided to keep it.

About 10 years ago I sold an HK P7 psp. I only paid $500 for it and sold it for $600.

Now, that gun sells for aroun 2k or more.

Sounds a lot like my younger days. I’ve owned a Makarov, HK Usp, and SKS that I wish I still had.

    No regrets.

Actually on the fence about letting a SIG P320 AXG Scorpion go right now. It's the tan version with a Romeo 1 Pro and streamlight tlr1-hl. Also has Armory Craft trigger, +2 mag extensions and magwell. Prices stock are all over the place. I bought it bare bones for around 1k I think. So maybe $1800 just to move it? Throw in a couple holsters and jump it to $2k? Holsters were a PITA to find for this thing. Only has 500 rounds through it.

Sorry to derail or highjack, just trying to get a feel. I might regret letting this one go, lol, but it is what it is.

My regret is a Remington 600 bolt action 0.308 that had an 18.5 inch barrel. Light and compact for the time, but still accurate enough for me. I could not bring it with me while assigned overseas and did not have a place to store it at the time.

Oh…. Yeah. I nearly forgot this one! A very long time ago I sold an early production S&W model 29 .44 mag. It was blued with a 4 inch barrel and in near perfect condition.

Come to think of it…. I regret selling most ( but not all ) of the guns that I’ve parted with.

I’ve bought and sold a lot. Only regret is selling the first handgun I bought the day I turned 21, a Sig P226.

I bought a brand new Italian manufactured 9mm Beretta 92F at the Rhein-Main AB Rod & Gun club in 1989. Got ATF permit to bring it to States when my tour ended and I ETS'd, had it with me in CA for whole ten years I lived there. I would never have let it go, except job related move back to MA at end of 1999 left me having to sell it as law change in 1998 made it illegal in MA due to 15 round magazines.

I put almost 10,000 rounds through that thing in the 11+ years I had it, 90% of which were lower cost Blazers (aluminum shells). Never jammed on me - not even once.

Maybe one of these days I'll move across the border to NH and then see if I can buy it back...:anonymous:

Couldnt you have just sold the mags and got MA compliant ones? Or is that not a thing?

Ah shit. Let me count them off. I'm poor at money management, but still have some good guns. Ones I regret:

    W German p226
    P226 again
    P226 and again
    P229 was perfect fml
    Ak-47 O-PAP, cherry condition
    Rem 1100
    CZ-75B
2 Colt 1911 Commemoratives (Argonne battle and Nickel European Theatre). My buddy has the nickel one so at least I get to play with it.

I do have the first pistol I ever actually bought. Dan Wesson 15-2V. I have a 4 inch and 6 inch barrels for it. I had the 8 inch barrel, but that's another story I don't like to talk about. Stupid shit you do when young and dumb. I've priced them on Ebay from time to time, and the 8 inch barrels are insane what they're selling for.

Ruger P85 9mm. A mediocre firearm but it was my first purchase and before CA 10-round magazine capacity mandate.
