My kid was in my old 05 TRD OR DC till he was 3. Back facing and front facing seats.
Put baby's seat in the middle of the second row, and you will have a ton more room.

This seems like a more realistic number that I'm seeing in here in Washington. I have been scratching my head thinking "how!" With people still able to get trucks in the mid to high 30s. 45k to 50k OTD is now typical from what I see.

I paid $29,475 (msrp) after having telling the dealership I wasn’t paying $900 for the dealership exclusive markup, back in late July. Sr 4x4 4 cylinder 2021, convenience package.Gladstone Oregon, Gladstone Toyota. They weren’t budging from msrp.

    How crazy the market is...

I got my '21 SR5 with sonar and tech for 37k (+destination) and 41k (ish) OTD. I bought November '20 just before the threat of another lock down. My salesman was new and desprite to make a sale. Times were weird then: unsold trucks were sitting 14 to 30 days. The goverment was between stimulus checks, used cars were seen as clutter that couldn't be flipped. I used a Costco discount with 1200 under MSRP, asked to remove the bed step for 300, and got a call back with 1500 added after a low ball trade in offer. I got the Toyota promotional rate with no pressure on warrenties and "mandatory" dealership add ons.

I don't say this to rub it in, but what a shit show the current market has become. Dealers are picking who to sell to, adding adjusted market rates, denying low financing rates, destination mark ups and loading on crazy add ons.... All on a preorder.

    Wha whaaa what!?!

    It is crazy out there.
I am getting a truck for $4K under MSRP, with 4K worth of manadatory dealer add-ons. So back at MSRP, and I feel like I am getting a decent deal.
Started looking for a $40K truck, ended with a $45K truck with options that I was gonna add later myself (bed mad, power lock tailgate, blackout package, etc). But such is market.

Sounds like a good deal. Now is the time to buy (I say that lightly with the market) because the good trucks will be phased out. Congrats on the new truck!

    Kind of unrelated, but ...
I have a mechanic buddy who told me, "Make sure to snatch up the lastest V6. It took years to refine the '16 model year." I'm sure the '23 hybrids/turbos will take awhile. Even the '30 EV will need some time to work out bugs. The way I see it...we may have to wait awhile until another bullet proof platform.

Ps: My other buddy who works at Tesla says they become glitchy and expensive to maintain/fix! I wonder how the new "Tacoma tech" will hold up in future models.... I like my dinosaur.

Paid MSRP here in AZ. Ordered in July and took ownership in August. No add-ons other than tech. Little over $39k before TTL @ 2.4% w/ TFS. Super white Off-Road 4x4 DCSB ATX.

Threw $2k worth of parts on it the night I brought it home lol.

    New member here:

After reading the forums and searching around the NJ area.

This afternoon, I was able to put a deposit down for 2022 White Tacoma TRD sport LB. Dealer agreed to $499 above MSRP. They have to located one for me or wait for the build in 3rd week of January. This dealer gets a lot of Tacoma in so they were able to take the low markup. This dealership has a very friendly staff *****

fyi :I went to other dealers in NJ and all told me $3000 above MSRP and wait 2-3 months.

    MSRP was 40,988 + 499 = 41,487.00

Time to look for a lift kit and wheels and tire.

EV are inherently simple relative to ICE and will likely not take much time to iron out the issues. I am sure Toyota will get it mostly right straight out the gates.

    Interesting times...

    My 2018 TRDORDC MSRP $39,100, paid $35,000 in 2018.

Just traded it in w/ 19K miles, for a new 2022 TRDORDC exact same options. MSRP $40,371. Got $37,500 for my trade. OTD $5,275 difference.

Kept my Bakflip MX4 Tonneau, Husky Liners, Dash Cover, Upgraded Tweeters (I can't remember the brand), Glovebox Organizer, Center Console Tray Organizer, Bed Cleats.

Window tint, TRD skid plate, bed extender, ceramic treatment inside and outside.
Would I have paid 4K for these a year ago? Probably not. 2K, maybe.
But it is better than paying a straight $4K "market adjustment" and get nothing for it.
My total OTD cost, with tax, title, doc fees is $48,288.
