Yeah! The Core shifter nazi needs some competition.:rofl:

That price is way better. It looks a lot better also without the chrome crap. If they were smart enough to do M12 threads for the knob, I think a lot of folks would be really happy with that.

Didn't even notice that had the same OEM style floppy donky dong rubber isolator shaft. Unless they are using a higher durometer rubber I believe it is still going to feel less precise than the core. It will certainly be quieter, but I have found that I have just gotten used to the noises it makes.

I had a B&M Star Shifter in my 65 Galaxie for 30 years and it never let me down. Hurst always made a good product as well.

I don't suppose you'd want to take a video to show the noise level of the Hurst would you?

Yeah they are there somewhere. It is really hard to get on a recording because it is pretty high pitch. The phone cuts off the higher frequencies. It's typical gear whine, like you would get with a transmission that has straight cut gears, but not that loud. I don't have the rubber isolator frome Core installed, but others have said it helps. I don't drive the truck that much anymore and the noise doesn't really bother me. I think it provides more feedback while driving anyway.

Well now I’m interested. Is there a way to make this noise LOUDER?

just kidding of course - but goddamn gear whine is an amazing noise -

A buddy of mine had straight gears in his classic AE86. It made lovely noises.
