Just thought of something.. What was that stuff @crashdb used? Will it turn out heavy on a whole body paint job, and can you use it for a base coat kinda thing, then apply an actual color of choice of paint over it?

    Thinking out loud.

Doesn't seem to go on heavy. Easy application. I don't know the process of colorizing it, but I get the gist it's easy.

I'm guessing he's not too concerned about scratches. Pretty sweet exoskeleton.

There’s a product called gravel guard (found on the bottom of the Tacoma doors) that you paint over. It gives a soft texted surface to prevent rock chips.

That would be good on the leading edge of the hood. I might be deflector-less with that stuff.

I have plenty of motivation. Just not enough money-vation to go along with it. Waiting for word on the outcome of Dave's truck, and I may have a project after that. I have an idea for a project if that doesn't come though that I saw on another TW truck.

I did start the wiring harnesses for cargo and side lights. And I'm about to pull the trigger on a camp stove and a better battery for the CPAP so I can get out a bit more.

What are going with for the CPAP? I bought a portable machine that isn't the greatest. I was using a jump box but I don't think it'd last more than a day or two.

I have a smaller jackery that was supposed to be good for two nights. It isn't; I get about six hours without the humidifier, about four with. It is an older machine, and that may be part of the problem. I was originally going to add some solar to the battery, but if I can't get through a night, it doesn't make a lot of sense to keep going that way. Dual battery set ups are too much $$. I may go solar with a larger battery. I do have a jump box that I bought for the trip out west, but haven't tried that yet.

Ah. Yeah. They suck up power. I used my HSA funds for the portable unit and batteries. I haven't had a chance to try the batteries, but the machine itself is kind of crappy.

I have made zero decisions. I start down a path and it gets nutty. Currently, I think I'll get some rebuilt heads and swap. Then a cam and some tuning. This could change and probably will.

Have to figure out the check engine light first. Heads would hopefully fix the oil consumption.

Headers and e-fans before all of it.

And most of this depends on what happens with the Tacoma. Talked to the insurance company and he said it could be with the police for a while. Standing by to stand by.

I'm trying to decide on the approach I want to take. I.could to the VA, do the sleep Studdard get a CPAP, maybe batteries that way, for a travel device. BCBS is pretty good on funding these (last time, anyway), and I did start an FSA this year, so my current machine with about 20k hours on is due for replacement. Not to sure I want to get further involved with the VA.
