I love my bumper. Only thing is the license plate area is way down there.

That doesn’t look too difficult at all. You disconnect the battery?

Update, the roam case atop the Prinsu is currently so convenient and easy to throw my Iceco chairs into that I may not care what anyone thinks of it.
MPG is to be determined but I'll probably buy a second vehicle like a prius or something for commuting.

    What else?
I plan to get the DD stealth light bar, their ditch lights and fogs over baja. Didn’t know the reverse lights made a difference with the camera. They do have license plate lights but might be too bright. Did you get the 200 lumen ones or the 720?

Just because it's a basic commuter car doesn't mean it has to suck. You can have a fun car that is still decent on gas. The answer is always "Miata", but a Mazda3 is fantastic as well.

If you're going to get brighter license lights, make sure you get the covers to keep them from blinding the backup camera.

Kinda ironic innit? Getting brighter lights and then getting something to block out the brightness

I got the 720 ones It’s less about the camera as looking in my side mirrors looking for branches and what not. The cameras OK normal but those bulbs definitely help as well.

Not really. Both fix different aspects of a poor design. The brighter lights put better light on the license plate, and cops like that. The shades keep the light out of the backup camera, which should never have been a problem but is only exacerbated by having lights that are of a more appropriate brightness.

A drop-in led bulb solves both problems.

The bulb fixes the first, but not the second, IMO.

I looked for one of those once. They were way over priced around here so I gave up.

absolutely. Wasn't taking any chances. But honestly, with just two torx screws holding it in, it would probably be okay. I just disconnected the neg terminal.

I may get some black ones. Kind of wish I did the mgm interior pieces which is a darker charcoal grey, but I think mostly black with a few cement trim pieces looks good also I suppose.
