Im installing a OME 2" lift this weekend on my 2021 Tacoma. Ive heared about a vibration that happens while deceleration with lifted Tacoma's. Will I get this with a 2" OME Lift with the bearing spacer installed? Also do need to change out the upper control arms? Thank you

If you do the ECGS clamshell bushing replacement of the driver side needle bearing you should be good to go. I installed the same exact lift and got the vibe and chased it for months before getting the bushing replacement. It fixed everything and drove fine after

also, as others have said. Get some aftermarket UCAs such as SPC or JBA

    What are the lift specs?

Which shocks? Which coils? What shock setting? For example, I'd you went with 5100's and OME coils they should be installed on the bottom setting ONLY.

You might be totally fine or you might need ECGS bushings, or/and 3 degree shim in the back.

I did 2” OME lift and needed the shim only.

I didn't have any vibration. As far as upper control arms, I didn't add those but my alignment was a very small amount out of specification on the front passenger side. I bet there's a good chance it could be attainable now after a few years and a little spring sag. I also ran it 30k -40k miles(with lift) before replacing the bearing with a bushing.
ECGS = East Coast Gear Supply .....FYI
If you decide to do the bushing later and need the tools, just ask around here on TW....someone help you out with that.

From what I understand, if going with 2” lift they are not necessary.

While not specifically the OME 2" kit from ARB, my kit from headstrong came with OME Dakar leaf packs and a OME carrier bearing drop kit; no rear axle shim. I have not had any vibration issues. I also did not install an ECGS bushing.

Well it doesn’t matter what 2” suspension lift you get, some tacos run into minor vibration issues. It seems to be hit and miss though. My kit did not come with a shim, I had to go back and have it added.

I don’t understand why it vibrates on deceleration only, I would have thought it would vibrate the whole time since the driveshaft angle is changed.

Yes!! But every truck is different. Let’s see how OP works out after lift. Caster Camber etc. Hopefully at least he has a good alignment tech

OME 886 with 90000 Nitrochargers in the front, Dakar 112R in the rear, stock UCA and needle bearing, no vibration. Front came up 2.25 (hub to fender). Bumper and winch going on in 10 days.

Speculation on why it would only vibrate on deceleration could be slight axle wrap.
The kit I installed came with the shim as part of the lift kit.
This lift kit was installed on my wife's 2nd generation and it's basically the same lift kit except on 3rd generation it's 2" instead of 2.5" because they sit higher half inch factory.

I went 2” on my 2013 because I wanted less wear, tear and strain from changing the angles. I used 884’s up front and full leaf pack in rear. Zero issues. So much nicer than stock ride. No need for UCA’s.
    Nice choice OP.

I didn’t use the supplied drop spacer.
