    Personal preference, maybe.

Bull bars make long rides much more bearable than straight bars, at least for me personally :notsure:

I actually kind of like the stock one too. I'm a tri-knob-liker. Or maybe an equal opportunity knob admirer? Or perhaps far too agreeable?
A quick release could be fun, heavy ss for daily, TRD for race mode, stock for sketchy urban environments?

Yes. I have Valley Runner on my 2021 and it certainly improved the truck.

Replaced the in-line clutch accumulator with approximately 12 inches of brake line, replaced the gear oil with Redline MT-90 at like 38,000 miles, FJ Cruiser gray TRD shift knob, VF Tune by a friend. Forgot what version but it's the higher performance on regular fuel. Made all six gears more usable.

Following for new clutch recommendations, it's been slippy from the get-go and I swear it has moods. Doesn't slip under acceleration so I know I'm good for awhile, but when that time comes I'd like to upgrade.

look into Phoenix Friction. i think it's the only a/m option right now. too bad cus the URD stage 2 is just so good. i saw an early review of the PF stage 3 (they have 2, this was the kevlar-ceramic), and the review suggested it was possibly weaker than my URD, but only time would tell i suppose. i believe the upgrades from stock spec are special order from them.

Good to know. I keep seeing everyone get better mpg with a tune. I think I can use a ECU update as well.

Who makes clutches for the 3rd gens?

I cannot really say if my MPG improved. I tuned it about the same time I switched to winter tires and put a bed cap on it. I can say that MPG is not worse. I'm inclined to say MPG is improved, but I cannot back that statement up with anything other than impression at this point.

Put differently, I'm getting the same or better MPG post tune even though I am now running winter tires and have added a 200 pound bed cap and about 200 pounds of tools to the truck as well as most of my millage before the tune being with only me in the truck, and most of it after the tune being with me, my wife, and two kids in the truck.

I am glad that I am not the only one who thought this. I laughed when I saw it for the first time. Picked up a Pro knob for cheap on Marketplace this summer. Red stitching looks nice with my red truck and red logo overlay on the steering wheel. Will upgrade to the Core short shifter later down the road though.

I did not read through all pages to see if it was mentioned, but a spill and fill of Redline MT90 is an easy, cheap and useful upgrade. Shifts much nicer especially in colder temps.
