Last trip to URE I hit the rear diff drain plug pretty rough, and pivoted the truck on it. Turns out it was leaking afterwards.. It's been getting harder and harder to get a socket up around the hex so I replaced it with a 10mm Allen plug.

I did the same and it’s been perfect since. Keeps it nice and close.

 

Might get up the gumption when I get around to replacing my rear axle bearings to replace the orings in my rear locker.. Been leaking out out the air line since it was installed.. It's not leaking air, but the gear oil mess is quite annoying..

1 For replacement O-rings use only BS136 Viton 75.

Honestly getting the outboard installed was the hardest part

Getting ready to go after another oil leak, seems like the front crank seal is leaking. Just replaced the same seal on Her Majestys Jeep and made up this tool to hold the crankshaft pulley.

 

Man I hate putting this skid plate back on... Got the crankshaft seal replaced and cleaned up a bunch of the caked on crud. In doing so I found another leak up behind the power steering pump on the timing cover.. There's also a bit of a Ridge on the snout of the crankshaft pulley, so we'll see how well the new seal works. The new seal from Toyota is a Koyo MK042F15

 

3* Exhaust cam gear results. Here's my before and after mileage for a year. No real power gain has been noticed, less engine braking when letting off the gas gives a feeling of less rolling resistance.
*I run 2 sets of tires 255/85/16MT and 265/75/16AT, some low numbers are offroad

1 year before Cam gears Average 14.64397mpg


1year after Cam gears Average 15.30167mpg

So what is that pipe that looks like it's going into your cab? Is that an internal cab snorkel?

 

That's a nice setup. I did see the guy @ pelfrey built, his setup. His was a V8 4runner right?
I think we have the same color truck. But do you have an access cab/dc?
