I was surprised that it happened too.. took it a couple cycles to get it back up. The system is stock. I still have the accumulator. The pedal was sluggish again after work with a temperature of -8C°.

I know these temperatures aren't crazy for some areas but for here in the lower mainland of B.C. these are cold.

Went to a wedding years ago in my LJ, had complimentary Valet parking and all, drove right past the guy and parked the jeep, went in and kept my keys. He gave me one look and never said a word.

I spoke to one of the technicians who was trained on the Tacos' manual transmission (when speaking about my 2020 Tacoma) and he said the trans is built like a tank. Hopefully he's right.

At my Aunt's Funeral they had mandatory valet parking, the guy was bouncing off the rev limiter in my car and ended up putting me in the front of the line out of order behind the hearse.

Below about -25 F (-31.6 C) the clutch does not warm up and will have slow return. A winter front might help. Warmer than -25 F the clutch behaves normally once up to operating temp.

At -34 F the engine cannot hold operating temp at idle and needs to be reved to about 1500 rpm to warm up and held above 1k to maintain its temp (again, a winter front would probably help).

We've used a valet maybe one time? In general, they're just not my scene or I park out.

Yes, something to cover the grill and limit air flow. Cardboard and zip ties will go with me untill I get around to sewing one

Gotcha. You kept saying "winter front" and I'm over here like, "well yeah that's what brings the winter weather in...."

Learned to drive a manual in an old ‘64 Chevy pickup C10 with stick on the column. Drove my dad crazy learning to drive it but he had the patience to teach me (& hopefully the wallet for the clutch I probably took about 20,000 miles of life out of).
I have a 2016 RAM 3500 flatbed chassis long bed 6.7 Cummins manual transmission with 99,800+ miles. Haul a lot of heavy loads (hay, cattle, horses, tractor, etc). Just replaced the clutch with a heavy duty Valair double disc and man, what a difference! More torque and more horsepower with other mods I have done too. Hanging onto this puppy and babying it because Ram, nor Ford or Chevrolet, make manuals since 2019. Thank god Toyota still does. Love my Tacoma MT. It’s my 5th Tacoma. I am afraid that Toyota will eventually go the way of RAM and manuals will be a thing if the past.
    Thanks Dad for your patience.

You bought a clutch that adds HP and torque?

I have a bridge to sell you....

Hey man, I made an error in my post. Was typing and thinking of what I was going to say. Made a couple edits and reposted but missed this one. What I meant to type, “More torque and more horsepower with other mods I have done”. So, just keep your bridge and I bid you adieu.

16°F on my way to work this morning. Clutch was extra stiff pushing in to start. A little slower on the rebound for the first few minutes, but not detrimental to drivability.

Pretty sure he didn't mean adding, more like a solid clutch gets the power to the ground.............well that's the way I read it.

Saw post regarding "slow clutch" and I think that's what I'm recently having, but it hasn't been cold out when it happens, and it's not in all gears or all the time.
