Bruce! Not a whole lot. Just slugging through another week. Didn't get to hunt or shoot very much these past few months so I'm kinda bummed about that.

What's new with you? All settled in NC yet?

    No complaints here!

The Chevy/GMC forums aren't as good at convincing me to mod as this forum has been, so I had to find another vice to spend money on.

How have you been? Are you driving the truck at all?

I've been good. Posted a little year synopsis on the last page (quoted below). As for the truck, it's been sitting in my shop since Dec 2019. Maybe one day I'll get off my ass and work on it. I did drive it the other week, though. The contractors doing my solar install got their Ditch Witch stuck in the trench, so I pulled it around into the backyard. We used the winch and hi-lift to pull it out of the trench.

I would love to get solar one day. Once I get property that's not in a subdivision it will be high on my list of to-dos.

My work has kept me pretty stationary this year. I need to change that. I have the ability to work from where ever I might be, but I just didn't travel to do it.

I've never been to Vegas. Hopefully you're fully recovered from covid by now. I can't imagine there were a lot of precautions in place at something like EDC.

Being in a subdivision shouldn't stop you from getting solar unless your HOA blocks it.

Yeah. I'm over my covid. It was really mild. The only precautions at EDC were showing your vaccine card or proof of negative test within 72(?) hr on the first day. Masks weren't required, but I wore my masks the whole time for all the good it did me. :bananadead: It was the first time in Vegas for me and my buddy. We both said that we wouldn't go to Vegas again for EDC. Compared to what we're used to for music festivals it was a cluster. The funny thing was that people that have been there before said it was one of the best run years.

No HOA in my subdivision but we won't be here forever so I would hate to spend the money on it then move. My neighbor has a huge panel that covers the majority of his roof. I should talk to him more about it.

My 84 yr old dad, who has been in a nursing facility for a year now, has a 2000 tundra 4wd access cab with low miles and is garage kept. Every time I'm up at their house I start it up and take some trash up to the recycling center in it just to keep everything in running order. I swear it's like a brand new truck. Everything he owns is in such great condition.
Not sure if he'll ever make it back home to use any of it tho.
Gonna have to be a lot of tough decisions to make soon. He's got so much equipment, tractors, etc., plus the25 acres with two houses. Mom's still in pretty good health but realistically can't take care of all that. It's really difficult for me and my siblings to care for our own places and families on top of my parents place.
