Just did my own and I'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now. I took it from ~5lb to a ~3-~3.5lb trigger. I also tightened up the beavertail to my liking. Saved about $100+.

I did my own too, and i really liked it. I bent 2 of the 3 leafs on the leaf spring back as well as polishing all sides of the trigger bow. It did the job to my liking for free.

I wanted to mess with the trigger it self but I could not get the ambidextrous safety out...I don't think I need to now though; it worked out pretty good.

I've watched quite a few videos on YouTube, on how to do it, some are very well done and detailed, but I've not tried it yet, prolly will before it's all said and done. Heck, they make new parts if I screw up something, right?

Yeah, internals seem to be pretty cheap.

Got the ambi safety figured out and took the frame down the rest of the way to mess with the trigger play. It's darn near perfect now. I even tightened up the ambi safety too; it's now perfect.

Took it to Scottsdale Gun Club today and I could not believe how well that trigger job turned out! I'm so stoked right now. I would've paid good $ for that trigger but all it cost me was some time and a $24 puch set.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
I don't discourage garage engineering and tinkering...I love it and like to buy things I can work on myself....
    HOWEVER....
After working your on FC, do yourself and everyone else a favor, when you go out to test the results.
Only load two in the magazine and test fire over and over again.
There are too many stories about 'cleaning up the trigger group' and ending up in full auto.
2 rounds in sequence is an experience....7 or 8 rounds is a disaster.
You will not control a 45 acp ripping through 8 rounds in a second.

I did in fact load my first three mags with two rounds for that exact reason.
