Matt's 2006 Tacoma 4x4 LT Build

A fender exhaust would be sick. I was talking about the exhaust under the cross member and t-case though.

I decided its not really worth the time/effort to change it. The exhaust works and is protected so I said why mess with it. It might provide a little bit of power with bigger tubing but the effort to weld the cats in is a PITA.

I ran a URD y-pipe for a while that utilized 2.5" tubing but it deleted my cats. I took it off and sold it since I wont be emissions legal in Cali when I move there in a few years. The smell was pretty bad too without my cats. I wouldn't want it for a DD mod.

It has 4.56 gears, Detroit locker and 35 spline axles.

 

Its a Currie 9" Fabricated housing with a strange 3rd member.

 

69" and it sticks out from the fenders pretty good. I wish I had gotten 6" glass now.

So here is my laundry list of things to be done when the truck goes back into Krawltex in Feb.

-engine cage
-clean-up my messy wiring
-re-route brake lines
-install new (4) 8" La Paz HID light bar on roof
-make switch panel for lights etc. They are kind of ghetto now and need to be cleaned up.

I also picked up one more Hella super-tone horns for a total of three and a 100 watt siren.

 

Here is the light bar I picked up. I hope to have the truck back within a few weeks from the shop.

 

This picture right here brings a tear to my eye.... so much awesome!

Seems like you have alot of work to do in Feb.

 

i like that bar... it looks much stronger than your current one. my truck is going back into the shop in Feb too. you are correct, down time sucks...

especially when your secondary vehicle is a mountain bike...lol. but this time i'm gonna drive my dad's BMW cause my parents will be out of town

Its a 4x4 so all I can do for now is add the TC gussets to the stock height spindles. Solo Motorsports is coming out with some fully fabricated stock height spindles sometime this year. If I have the coin I will probably get them.

 

Why can't they just make them a little taller? To provide lift
