Thx for the info, I'm going to test both, the smaller one should work. I'm just juggling spots to put them in. I'll probably keep it to the left of the steering wheel so I don't have to extend the harness to the middle console.

When you can, please share a pic of the sensor that you received using the part number above, I haven't been able to locate one online. I'm looking to use the smaller sensor since I have a MT also.

This is the one I bought from this dealer, cheapest I've found. Everything is exact on the back for connections and the kit harness plugs in just like the taller one. I'll get a pic tomorrow, may be a bit before I get it installed and test everything.

I spent hours trying to find the part number for the tundra mic, but no luck.

This is where I plan to place my mic. Are the wires long enough to reach over to the side kick panel, etc. or do the wires need lengthened?

@Grossomotto could verify that. But most likely they need to be lengthened.

I've yet to install this, but I thought it installs bottom left of drivers side, if so the wires are long enough for the panel to the left of steering wheel. If you want the mic in the center of dash (below the radio) the wires will have to be lengthened up to 2'.

There's quite a few members that have already installed this, so they would know best.

Ok.ill ask... I know what a glass break sensor is, but why does a hood switch matter?

The wires on the connector that goes to the mic is only long enough to branch off of the main connector on the module and go to the mic mounted to the left of the steering wheel. Like mentioned above, you would have to modify/extend that part of the harness a couple of feet to reach the area below the hvac controls.

Here's the pics. Previously I said the longer mic may have trouble fitting in a standard opening, it's just my aftermarket plate which is tight. It fits in a standard spot, see pic where it's bottom right.

The mics are the same on the back with the connector having two pins, the two farthest right in the pic with white connector.

I'm still a ways out from installing this since I'm getting a 3d printed plate with three short spots and will use the shorter switch style mic.

Previously posted this in another thread. I also enhanced my factory alarm by installing the PT398-35160 GBS. Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery first. Need: small flat head screwdriver for sensitivity adjustments, 10mm deep socket, nylon pry tool, cutter for zip ties and 1 or 2 flashlights. Perfect opportunity to add dielectric grease to battery terminal to prevent corrosion.

You only have to make 3 connection’s, after you plug the sound sensor and the GBS module in. I needed to set my sensitivity level to 10. (The range is 1-11.) Bang on the truck, not triggered. My son parked next to me and revved his V8 GT to the limiter (Roush exhaust) and alarm never triggered. Just barely tap on windshield or any side windows with any object and the alarm is instantly triggered. Very pleased;)

This may be the most comprehensive install on TW, very easy, all good stuff. Just got this from Etsy for $25 (and will smooth out, primer, paint) and install the the whole kit in the next few days or weeks.

Thanks for the pics, the smaller sensor/mic looks pretty clean. I'll go ahead and order now that I've seen it. The unused pins have got to be for the LED, I'll see if I can tap into the existing security light in the center dash so both LEDs would illuminate together. Probably overkill, but if the LED is there might as well hook it up.

I would also be interested in hooking up the LED. That would just complete the install and make it more oem looking.

Wonder if anyone on the forum can make a plug n play harness to extend the connection.

I don't, but maybe @Grossomotto might be able to check the part number for the connector.

You could pull back the foam and splice/crimp an extension of the two wires.
