Will depend mostly on your wheel setup and tire setup. But will fit if the planets align.

The heck is a snow sock??

True. I've never used one, never even really looked into them, just know they exist. I've only ever milled or broached. For those a grind would be fairly straight forward.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Snow sock looks like the weird piece of felty woven cloth that new electronics get packaged in and cinches around the tire. Honestly I don't get how they work since it basically erases any hint of siping or tread... But they definitely work.

Yes, I am definitely in the market for one, looking at best options for placement, costs of various styles, etc.

Bit of a cold snap here in the PNW, got bored after a few days of staying in and actually used that weird "4WD" button thing.

Just an option at a few online dealers. I ordered from https://www.autorug.com/ though, as they were the cheapest I could find. I was expecting a fairly quick install, but they don't make any inside cuts for you.

Played around in the snow the other day. Me and my buddy ended up pulling out a beefy f250 who was was stuck then on our way back out a tree fell across the road. Luckily f250 guy had a chainsaw and I had tow straps. Everyone lucked out lol.

I know I’m late to the leaky can discussion but I am very happy with my ones from wavian.

I've seen you post this before, but this is awesome every time I see it. Nice way to make a custom solution for a "wasted space".

Got the new transfer case installed today. Not a fun time working in 24°F and snow. Lucky me, it's snowing again tomorrow when I get to reattach drive shafts.

So, if I put these next to each other... I guess I had dual cases for a moment, until the silver one made its way under the truck. ;)

    upload_2021-12-29_19-9-43.jpg

Noticed this on the inside of the transfer case adapter (the bit that stays on the transmission)... Seems to be cracks in the casting? Outside looks fine, so I assume this is normal and just has to do with the casting/cooling process?

Thanks! It's one of those types projects I love the most, jacking other peoples idea's and over complicated but unique solutions. I actually had an issue with it when I was going to drop it down. The clearance to where I put in the extension to run the impact tightened up on me. I forgot I was using the rear bumper as an excavator on an obstacle last trip and it shifted on me. I thought the whole bed had shifted when I saw it.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I must have missed it. What was the cause that made you need to replace the tcase?
