You guys are coming out to CA? Doesn't AZ have dunes too or is it not that kind of desert

The only dunes I know about where you can wheel out here are Johnson Valley, Anza Borrego....maybe some over in Jawbone/Redrock OHV. Then Pismo dunes but F that place

I'm pretty sure the dunes in Death Valley are protected/no wheeling allowed on them

Yeah, wanted to do it last week but they were closed on Friday. I need to confirm they are going to be open this Friday as well cause I'm not working because it's a Holiday for us.

I just found out we have Friday off too, hell yeah. Too bad the mountains are gonna be a zoo this weekend though. We got a ton of snow down here at 3k+ feet and more coming tonight/tomorrow. Half of Socal is going to be up there snowboarding this weekend. Don't even want to imagine what the traffic would be like. Gonna have to wait a week or two

Nobody is coming up here if they don't open the pass. We already have a potentially dead skier lost at Northstar's backcountry. Weather hasn't been cooperating for search and rescue and he's been missing since Christmas.

Yeah we got a lot of snow but nothing compared to what the Sierra looks to have gotten. I've seen @Tour991 's pics so far and it looks crazy. 10+ ft in some areas I hear.

One of the highways up into Big Bear got shut down due to a big rock slide so that leaves 2 main highways to go up...yeah traffic will be a fucking mess this weekend. I usually go up via fire roads anyway but I bet even those will be bad.

My wife was telling me that people at her work have "pooping shoes". They put different shoes on for the bathroom so that people won't recognize the shoes and know who is taking a massive dump.

These remind me of "pooping pant legs"...

Since I started snowboarding while I was living in Bakersfield I usually went up to Sierra Summit AKA China Peak. It wasn't too busy but it never had as much pow as here.

It was a shit show last night.... took me 4.5 hours to get home. should be a 45 minute drive at the worst. Ndot and NHP closed 50 at 8pm and sent all the tourist to carso city but waited way to long to do it.

Fuuuuck that, just to get home from work? And you live right across the lake from work right? Jesus that's awful

reminds me when it took me over 4 hours to get home once because the highway got shut down due to a violent parolee on the loose in the area. Literally sat on the highway not moving for hours.

a few years ago when my FIL was visiting for New Years, we tried going up the mountain to see the snow and got stuck in one way stopped traffic for a couple hours. On a steep ass incline moving a foot or so every minute. My clutch leg grew 3 sizes that day I think

I've been trapped on 80 a couple times for closures. Wife and I actually had to sleep in the car once in Kingvale. Had Taco Bell for dinner and breakfast.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Damn. That's terrible. And people can't drive on that?

Black ice helps to clear the road. Most wind up in the ditch so the local ice skaters can make it through.

Yeah just trying to get home. The problem was the 80 was still closed so everyone who was staying Truckee, North Lake and Reno/Carson tried to head down 50 which is 1 lane and can not handle the capacity. This is my normal drive. Even with a foot of fresh on the road I can do it in 45 minutes.

So glad the 2nd gen is auto

House still not ready but that Milwaukee Packout set is already coming in clutch.

Put 3 half full tool bags in one bin, misc chargers and batteries in another, and 2 hard cases on the top basket to consolidate everything.
