That is incorrect. The oven cure is the most resistant to chemicals and abrasion, I also believe it beats air cure in the salt spray as well. Air cure does however typically have a greater heat resistance. Oven cure is a two part which is what makes it more durable for impact and chemical. All of the firearm coatings are 2 part oven cure. I've owned and operated a coating business for 10 years now, so that's my background. Either way you cut it though, Ceramic is king in this department. It wont hold heat and its very resistant to chemicals. But it does take very thorough prep to make it durable.

I do woolwax every year. It definitely keeps the frame nice but when it comes to the shocks it doesn't help a whole lot. Tire spray washes it off fairly quick.

I need to, but I only just finished a tonne of work on this thing before it started snowing and got to be -9 degrees Celsius. Probably just spray the whole thing with fluid film though just cuz it's quick and easy

I dig the fact it’s still a leaf spring truck. I’m assuming out in your area links are far more common?

 

Like anything it all just depends on how much money you have. In our little JD Fab bubble most of the trucks we deal with are linked with big tires, big shocks and big motors... all the Tacoma’s are the exception

934 CV, custom spindles, uppers, steering and some coilovers because everything is better with coilovers

 

Did you make the flanges or are they from somewhere else? I am using a 9.25 that's getting converted to center mount for another project and haven't found adapter flanges.
