With that being said the general public cant change their wiper blades so them being happy is a very low bar. I know and do more to my cars and understand whats correct and whats not so its not surprising that i take issue with poor quality work

I never really had any bad experiences with the dealer at all. They always were good to me and sometimes did some freebies as I have been dealing with them for over 30 years. I never checked their work etc as I trusted them and furthermore I traded my vehicles ever 4 years or so. I am at the age now where the dealer is so damned far and hate driving there for maintenance which takes 8 hours at least out of my day. With the covid BS going on I want to stay close to home this is why I chose my neighborhood mom and pop garage.

I usually don’t go to the dealer for oil change but they kept calling me and they even offered a $69.95 oil change special. I said sure let’s do it.

I didnt check the work of the repair shop that fixed my subaru bumper until i propped my foot on the bumper and the tow access cover popped off because it was glued on. Sometimes its important to dig a little deeper.

Koons Toyota in Westminster Maryland has been good with me. No issues whatsoever with any service there.

I'm going to Koons in Easton, MD in Feb 2022...only 43 miles from me in Dover, DE--it's where I bought my Sport. I've heard great things about their service department.

Like I mentioned, I gave the Toyota dealership 13 miles south of me in Milford a shot at service and it did not go well for first impression.

New York City/Metro area dealers are the worst. Went in to Toyota of Manhattan for a 5k "free" service and got a free door gouge as a bonus. Writer looked at it, then the other side of the truck and literally said: "well, there's dings on this side too". Last time I'm going to a dealer in this part of the country.

Dealer left off my oem skid plate on one of the free services. Net loss for me who had to buy another one.

Also my fault for not noticing until 8 months later. Couldn’t get anywhere when I confronted them about it. I know they stole it too, my truck lives in the garage and they were the only ones that touched it at the time.

On the other hand, you expect a dealership to at least operate at a higher standard.

At least the aftermarket plates are better than the OEM OffRoad ones

I'll bet the tech just forgot to put it back on and after a few months of no claim it was tossed out or given away.
