DJ bike has 26" wheels and shorter chainstays. They feel way more BMX like (to me personally) but yet they are a way bigger bike that for some reason you do not notice the size. The front end feels way lighter and manuals and such are much more natural. My Yeti SB115 29er basically feels stuck to the ground unless I pull back and up hard where the DJ it is just a slight weight transfer. I had a 27.5+ Hardtail I just sold that felt nothing like a DJ either. It was a slacker more enduro geometry. I highly recommend a dedicated DJ bike to anyone and everyone.

I'll post pix in the near future but I am tailoring my basement skatepark to be DJ friendly.... Never grow up

Speaking of DJs and pump tracks...we hosted our annual Fall Fest Pump Track Challenge and Dylan Stark showed up. His video from the event is here:

Elite riders like this can show up only hours before and throw bigger moves than all the locals combined. They put on a great show

You using the Wilderwild frame protection tape? How does it hold up?

I have a roll of it on my desk that I have been putting off installing. Mainly wanted it for down tube protection to help with my tailgate pad - rubbed a spot down to bare metal on my bike and want to both cover it up and make sure it doesn't get worse.

So I love that company and I love their product. Put it on all my bikes! The people are super nice and hooked me up with a free roll to model on my truck!! They are Tacoma fans as well. I have their tape protecting where the straps are at on my tailgate pad and on a couple spots on my truck for dramatic flair as well. Switching to a new Fox Factory tailgate pad as well this year.

Looks awesome on the truck! Good to hear a positive review on the product as well - in a week or so the bike will be taken apart to put in a new bottom bracket and cranks, going to do the install then. It seems with the soapy water and heat gun it should go on relatively easy - nice that they provide the cut templates as well. Need to quit worrying about being perfect on the install and just get it done.

Curious to know how well the Fox tailgate pad protects the typical downtube rub spot when transporting. I have the Yakima Gatekeeper and they provided a protected pad for the downtube to rest on, but after a season of using it - I am still left with a pretty good wear spot on the frame.

Frame protection companies are the new thing. I'm curious the margins on these $35 adhesive rolls

Buy an oversized cricket and give it a go. That 3m large tape isn’t that expensive.

Borrowed my mom's size small Trek Roscoe and hit the Lorton, VA trails with my sister. Much different ride feel than a large enduro bike like my Sentinel

My first CF bike back in the day I used 3m helicopter tape on the frame in clear and I did the same on my dad's Scott Scale. The Wilder Wild stuff I only used cause I wanted the textures, and I will say, it is a very nice product. Margin is probably massive but it is nice stuff and I feel it is worth it personally for the look.

I was curious, turns out Cane Creek EEWings are not made in USA, and I searched everywhere on their website too, and couldn’t find anything stating manufacturing origin. Which then makes me curious what is and is not made in house for them.

Anyways, judging by a review I’d say you’re right, failed quality control EEWings. However what counts as a fail, an ugly weld maybe.
    If that’s all it’s a good buy, there’s a 90 day return period.

yeah but also..who knows what bad welds would do. I wouldn't mind putting them on things like a road bike or a gravel bike but, not sure I'd trust a potentially weak weld on a dh rig....... :awkward:
