I'll get some pictures for you this week. It's not difficult to do as long as you have the parts ready to bolt on.

Integra DC2 seat, planted seat bracket, and Recaro sliders.

For the Integra seat, once attached some pictures below. You'll need to remove the factory Integra sliders prior to working on it.

The reclining handle side comes right off as seen below.


Seatbelt buckle side, there's a few extra bolts that hold it on. Remove them to get the slider off.

 

Once you get the rail off, you'll need to work on the seatbelt buckle side.




Once you get the slider off, bolt the brackets back onto the seat.

 

These were the sliders I ended up using for 2 reasons. They worked better than the Sparco and NRG. The Recaro sliders also bolt directly onto the planted brackets without any additional drilling.

Once you mount the Integra brackets back on, you'll need to bolt the Recaro sliders on.

I'll get pictures of mine this week. I just drilled the holes where they needed to be on the Integra seat to install the sliders. Sliders will then bolt right into the planted brackets.

For the planted brackets, make sure you buy the direct brackets. If you have a full bench (single cab), purchase the "bench" version of the brackets. If you have the 60/40 bench or regular seat buckets, get the "bucket" version.

 

If you plan on running the JDM Recaro from an Integra DC2R or Civic EK9, it'll be much easier. The Recaro sliders as mentioned above will bolt directly to them and then bolt directly onto the planted bracket. Zero modification or drilling required.

 

Thanks for posting all this very useful information. I tried to install factory buckets in place of the 60/40 bench seat in my '98 Taco Ext. cab. These buckets came out of a reg. cab Taco and once installed, I felt like they didn't move back as far as my 60/40 seats so it wasn't comfortable enough and I removed them. I tried, but couldn't find an easy way to modify the OEM sliders for extended slide length. Do you think the Recaro sliders would work on the OEM bucket seats and possibly slide back farther? Thanks for your thoughts.

 

I'm sure I am not the only one in here but a dual battery set-up with a battery switch souced from the local marine supply store . At least I could be sure it was weatherproof!

Unique solution for a parking brake since my Wilwood rear disk brake kit didn't come with one. axle mounted

 

Yea... wanted an out of the way spot and the Optimas (or any Gel type I assume) can be mounted like that with no issues. It has worked out well and I've had no issues (been running it that for at least 10yrs).

 

I used to run a tcase ebrake on my crawlers, worked pretty damn well! One time, all the bolts on the tcase mount pulled out of the tcase. With the tcases flopping around on the way back home, the rotor ended up sawing through the cab lol fun times.

 

Damn... Fingers crossed I never experience that one!

 

Ah... that is cool and I can see how it would make it easier to turn.
