There isn’t a button that might or might not work?

 

There is a settings button to switch it but doesn’t work on some he has a can update to fix it

 

Do I need to talk on whattsapp to install or do I just plug in my usb tb?

 

If you need it you can get it from either Erik on whattsapp or @arcenik here then download to td and upload to unit

 

Do I plug it in once it boots up and auto installs?

 

You’ll get directions with it on how to upload it

Eric is great he sent me the video for the 05-06 climate control reverse and answered all my questions promptly. I ordered a 16gb tb to do the updates. Im excited for this install

did you watch the video ? the one he sent me was entirely in Chinese text and a different version of windows than i have so I couldn’t follow it at all…

 

I added it to the first page. Do you know when the connector changed or maybe is the JBL that has a different connector? This would be good info also.

 

The firmware update video is that way, the can update one is easier.

 

As I said before on here, not a fan of the Zlink....trying to abandon Zlink/Carplay all together as I don't care about those features the way they present and look. Is anyone running just the bluetooth and hotspot connections from their iOS phone device to the HU? I can't seem to get both connected seamlessly to the unit at startup. I'm afraid this is a iOS limitation....If you are let me know what you did.....still trying to get the unit the way I want. I can get them to eventually connect but takes a lot of presses, connecting, searching, on, off, bluetooth, wifi, on and on ....not to mention the "connection window" and it's limitation mentioned above in this thread.
