A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Peeps! Still trying to track down that rattle that is preventing me from enjoying my new ride. I know all the shock bolts are good and tight, and that adapter on top is solid. Checked the wheels; no, didn't screw that up. Was almost home from the errand, and SPARE TIRE! Yep, it was not all the way up, BUT, didn't eliminate it. Took the shackles off the back. Will go around the block. Load up the Decked too. I'll find it.....
    :annoyed:
When I get the bottom bushings I asked for from Down South, I will also put insulators on that adapter stem. Because.

    Have a great day everyone!

Jeezus... 16 feet of snow in Lake Tahoe!!! They haven't seen snow like that since God was in diapers. The Truckee River flows into Pyramid Lake which has no outlet so the water is trapped. Gonna be some flooding in Reno this spring...

    Morning all:

, 16' of snow, that's a lot of snow!

Another , just picked up a piece of 3/8"x1 3/8"x8' door stop trim for only $17.55, for that price you would think it is 24K gold plated!

Good one, I might have said "since Christ was a corporal". Hard to fathom 16 ft of snow.

That is a lot of snow.

We may be back in the spring to help open the cottage up in Caseville.

Headed home this morning. Everyone have a happy abd blessed New Year.

Went to town yesterday, got 30gal. gas, last day for using .40/gal. off Kroger fuel points for Dec., so 2.33/gal. Got a few more fuel blocks to top off my stack, and a box of fire starters to try. Driving by the county building reminded me that property taxes are due. Haven't received the bill yet, but every year it's a little more, and arrives a little earlier, haha.

    Re: Tahoe snow.
Yeah. Single floor residents were stuck inside with no way out. Second story residents walked out their window.
Some burned furniture to stay warm.
A really brutal storm, like Donner Party storm.

We’re back from spending Christmas in Utah with family and friends. Nicest Christmas in a few years. The friends we stayed with live on a small ranch with horses in Dammeron Valley. A beautiful setting about 4800’ elevation. We even got a little snow for Christmas.
It’s New Year’s Eve and we are going out for our traditional NYE Chinese dinner. Going early so we can be home before dark. Then going to watch some movies. No I won’t make it up to midnight. I’m a morning person and 10 pm is late for me.
So here’s wishing you all a happy and safe New Year.

Happy New Year all. Doing filet mignon on the grill with baked potatoes and green beans tonight. Then we’ll sit around and watch CNN New Years show, have a glass of Austi at midnight and be in bed by 12:30. We are such party animals…

Happy New Years, everyone. Done dinner, falling asleep at 7:15. Not sure if I’ll wake up to see the ball drop. It’ll happen whether I’m awake or asleep.

^^ This. Ditto with us...stuffed mushrooms, scallops wrapped with bacon, a nice Sonoma sparkling wine, some split pea soup and now tea with dessert...

Remember as a kid, parents let you stay up to see the new year in… expecting something, not knowing what, something new, something different.

My aunt and uncle had a blow out every year. It was always fun to see all of my aunts and uncles trashed.

Drunken adults were scary as hell to this kid. You’re lucky to have had “all my aunts and uncles”. I had one aunt, one uncle, one cousin, and two great aunts. I never discovered extended family till late in life.
