some where I can not find it now, I was reading a write up where you can go to the auto parts store and buy the hood struts for the tacomas, of cousrse they were not factory but some research some one had done. There was another vehichle you had to get the brackets off of in a junk yard or online, total mod was like 40.00 Diy. any one have any Ideas?

I have found redlines struts, but its not worth it for me to 119.00. Ill stick with my prop rod for that price.

I have C2C hood struts on mine (coast to coast performance).

I don't know if they make 'em anymore....
Here's the website link (I think). My work interwebz won't allow me to see this link for some odd reason?
    http://www.coast2coastperf.com/

My local truck accessories place carries hood struts on their shelves. Check with your local truck accessories place...... you might just need to know the size (length collapsed & extended) and go from there. Not sure about brackets....you could make some if you have the tools/etc.

I hesitated on the Redline struts too at first, but I hated the prop & with a lifted Tacoma it was being a pain. I sprung for the Redline & am glad I did. They were easy to install, look cool, & work flawlessly; a rare feat in aftermarket accessories these days.

I hear ya, I was hesitant as well but defiantly my redlines have been one of the best things I have done to my truck.

If you have to ask how much they are, you can't afford them.
