Alright guys.. so my rear bumper arrived.. and I'm going to need to lift the X1 in the rear enough to get a board or other straight edge across the bed to mark my cuts. Any tips? I plan to use the forklift to hoist it from the rear 2 lift points. I'll have to loosen all the clamps and remove the rears. I'm hoping it will pivot along the front enough to get a flat piece of stock across the bed. Any other ideas?

wait what? why do you need to take a canopy off to cut for a bumper? high clearance i assume?

Yes. They take the measurements from the top of the bed. Talking to Randy at SP about it now. I think it'll go relatively smoothly with the forklift.

copy - i was going to say im sure you could use the rear hubs as a reference point instead if you didn't want to take your camper off.

I was thinking of other ways as well. Like adding the height of the bottom rail/portion of the camper. Open the side doors and run my straight edge across that way..

I would check expedition portal as well. SP build times have been shortened a bit lately.

Hey all…. If you don’t know I sold my camper a few weeks ago.
I was pulling all of my house battery wiring today and clearing out silicone and all that dust proofing jazz and noticed this.
It seems there must be screw heads underneath the bulb seal that wore through or maybe screwed through the bulb seal at this point in the camper?
I never had any shifting issues so this is just from road vibration. It’s worn down nearly a 16th on an inch on both sides. Thought I’d share.

You shouldn’t need to remove or lift the shell. When mine was done we had a different shell on. how are you measuring it?

I would guess it's some rivets on the underneath. Everything that can be riveted is riveted on the X1.

You’re not wrong…. Just weird that you can see where the bulb seal was…. And it was stuck tight…. Vacuum sealed….. like a dolphins butt.
