Oh, forgot to mention..I wanted to give a shout-out to @SUMOTNK for the hookup on the syringes. Finally got around to changing my S/C oil when I did a regular oil change yesterday. It's been a while since I did the S/C oil last. I think at 90k. I'm at 134k now. Definitely didn't have a lot left in there.. sucked out as best I could.. and topped off again till full.

Oh yeah! I need to order my oil and such to service mine a warm(er) day in January. Then I really need to get a tune set up to enjoy the potential last few months of owning the truck (Ford Lightning incoming).

Has there been any discussion on who’s getting this? More importantly, what everyone’s doing with their Tacos after they get it?

Yeah, without any close friends nearby I don’t have much interest in automotive projects solo.

So, the lighting is the perfect appliance to get me, girlfriend and dog with camper to where we go with “zero” maintenance and more than twice as fast as a well tuned and tiny pulley blown taco.

The range thing doesn't bother you? Genuinely curious. That's always been my biggest gripe.. hell.. even noticed it when meeting up with @nudavinci64 over Thanksgiving. Lol. The maintenance thing.. would that really be true? I know it's dependant of the individuals purpose. I just know that the Lightning wouldn't work for us. Not just for the range.. but the for capabilities, or lack there of.

Not having to fill up when it’s cold out is tempting… will never sell the taco though.

I didn’t have a vehicle and rode my bike and public transportation for 8 years of my adult life.

I’m not worried about range anxiety. Change of mindset will alleviate any of that combined with my usage. Adding 30m stop to a trip to Moab is not a big deal to charge up to 80% again.

My biggest gripe with, basically all trucks today, is that you have to get the 4 door versions to get any of the good options. I'm a short dude, and the 4 door taco is basically as big as I'd ever want to go.

That and I'd have to do some serious rearranging of my garage to fit in a 4 door full size truck

there’s a big thread somewhere with all the info. The main page has engine info and a/c info may be still buried in middle probably cross referenced in this thread too. Sorry don’t have time to find it now

This thread has been my outlet for release away from the outside world for many years now and one of my exclusive forum favorites that I rarely ventured out of. I just lost my Dad earlier today due to post complications of COVID-19 after a two and a half long month fight. I'm going to miss him and this is a hurtful blow that I didn't see coming.

This goes without saying that I think it might be best to step away from the forum for a while until I can re- gain some stable emotional footing. You boys take care of yourselves, hug your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you. If you have a loved one in which your relationship is in turmoil with right now, bury your hatches. Life is so short and fragile. I'll be back in time. There's just a lot of processing, grieving, and arrangements to tend to right now.

    Happy New Year gentlemen.
