Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
Don't be so sure of that. The Maverick, based on the Escape....which is an incredible rust bucket. I traded an 18 Escape in to buy the Taco so I'mvery familiar. Being a frequent visitor to the Escape Forums, you'd be amazed at the number of Escapes that rot into oblivion. Faster than any Taco has rusted. They rot in the wheel wells to the the degree that the shock mounts vaporize and there's nothing left to hold the car up off the ground. No fix. It's a total loss on much newer models than any Tacoma has ever vaporized. Escape with Ecoboost is the last Ford product I will ever own thanks to its turbo'd Ecoboost shitbox motor.

No different than any other high mileage vehicle. Engines and transmissions aren't cheap either

I test drove a 2010 Prius with 168K miles on it in like February 2021; I had to bring my truck to the dealer for an oil change because my mechanic got COVID and had to quarantine, and I saw this mint Prius on the lot for only $5,600. It had almost 170K miles, but it was in great condition; On impulse, I requested to take a drive. It was my very first time actually driving a Prius, and I really liked it; On top of that, it had the JBL speakers and a backup camera, which would have saved me about a thousand bucks in stereo upgrades had I bought the thing...

Trust me, I'm not surprised; I live in Southeast Pennsylvania and all Escapes older than like 2012-2013 are rust buckets around here. They tend to rot out out in the rear wheel wells.

Those 3rd gen Prius are actually pretty quick off the line if you press the Power button. It tells the ECM to allow the gas engine to open up more and the traction battery to send more juice to the traction motor. I used to love smoking trucks off the line at stop lights. The driver's always look bewildered

Yeah, but if both fail during the time you own it, you're essentially paying double; The way I take care of an engine, I could get it well past 200K before any major work is needed, but I would spend $4,000 putting a new engine in my truck with car prices the way they are. I just can't fathom paying sticker; My dad has walked away from vehicles he really wanted in the past because the dealer wouldn't budge on the price, specifically a then-new 1996 4Runner Limited...

3rd Gen would be 2009-2014, right? So, the one I test drove? Yeah, that thing hauled some serious ass! If I had a bit more money in my bank account, I'd keep my old Tacoma and buy an AWD Prius; The AWD Prius would solve three problems with one vehicle!

    1. A vehicle that gets much better mileage than my truck.
    2. A vehicle that, unlike my truck, can seat more than one other passenger comfortable.
    3. A vehicle with AWD for driving in the snow!

Highly unlikely. You've fallen prey to internet horror stories.

In today's climate they couldn't care any less whether you walk or not. With limited supply there will be 30 people show up that day to pay MSRP.

That is too bad, truck is a desirable configuration that would sell quickly too.

I prefer Gen 3 over Gen 2 because Gen 3 has rear disc brakes and while I have seen Gen 2s with backup cameras, it seems like it's easier to fine Gen 3s with factory ones...

The wife wishes we had kept this one after the lease to this day. But the residual was too high in my opinion.

She's got a mortgage, and a kid in college, and she doesn't want car payments; What better vehicle to have in a shitty, hyperinflated economy, post-pandemic world than a 2004 Taco that's long since been paid off?!?!

The 3rd gen had 1.8 2ZR gas engine and a more powerful traction battery and motor.

2nd gens had the 1.5 1NZ gas mill and a smaller traction battery and motor

Is the residual what you pay when a lease is up if you want to keep the car? And just imagine what that car must be worth now! Also, did your Prius have a backup camera?

Though when I was on vacation in Malibu back in 2016, I took an Uber to Hollywood and it was a 2004 Prius with like 240K miles; The thing ran like a top and had freezing cold A/C!

And Will Ferrell showed us that a Gen 2 Prius could take a serious beating in The Other Guys!
