I wish we had none. I am the type that when I go to bed I am out in a few. My wife turns on the television and watches it for hours... every night. If I wake up after falling asleep it is difficult to fall back asleep with the set on. She cannot sleep without the television though.

A little of this and a little of that.
Good morning and Happy New Year 2022!

I grew up in upstate NY and we always had a specific meal on New Year’s Day. Pork, sauerkraut, greens, black-eyed peas, and a cake for dessert. My wife and I have maintained the tradition over the years.

Anybody else do the same or similar?

Being partly German American from PA, we do the pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and some kind of veggie - usually green beans - every year. And we have hot dogs with kraut and mustard every New Year's Eve night for dinner.

Good for you! I got the dog license online a few days ago, but have yet to pay the county taxes.

Never had a traditional meal for New Years. Being German American I grew up eating sauerkraut and pork alot at my grandma's house.

We had a dusting of snow early last night. But the big stuff is supposed to miss us to the south.

:hattip:Good morning everybody, Happy New Year! Here’s to a better 2022:fingerscrossed:

Judging from the early posts this morning, I’m going to say most of us did not see the ball drop. I can’t remember the last time I made it past 10:30 anyway. Lol

Black eyed peas and greens have been a part of the New Years meal since I was little.

I went to bed at 10 p.m. I woke up at 11:54 p.m. Normally, I would just go back to sleep, but my daughter was out with her boyfriend, so my grandson was alone downstairs. I went down to his room, to find him playing a video game. I suggested we watch the ball drop and he liked that idea, so we rang in the new year together. By 12:10 I was back up in bed. I am trying to make memories for him that may not have much meaning today, but, as we wise elders know, will have meaning later in out life, even the little things.

Good morning all. Happy New Year.

The 20 somethings at the party last night wanted to watch Miley on tv so no Times Square coverage for me.

Still trying to figure out what the hell I watched…
