Looking for some intel. My '09 AC has a 6 cd changer, but no rear door speakers. I'm wondering if it is wired from the factory for speakers even though it came without them. TIA, cheers, Dave Would probably just upgrade the front door speakers and not bother with the back if I had to wire it

Darn! Thanks for saving me wrecking a bunch of plastic clips and stuff :) I think I'll just upgrade the front door speakers and call it good. Thanks for your help!

Please explain. I can’t hear them until I have my fade set to at least 65% rear. Once I’m at 0 fade, the rear speakers have no influence that I can hear. And I do have an amp and upgraded speakers.

FWIW. My '06 Access Cab has the OEM 6 CD unit with speakers in front & rear doors.

To my ear, the rear speakers do add to the fullness of the sound stage.

OP, you probably need to remove a rear door panel to verify the speakers & wires being present or not.

Does the rear door panel have the speaker grill??? Another test, set the fade to 100% rear, place your ear next to the speaker grill. The answer should be apparent.

When I fade my speakers to the fronts only I can hear a pretty significant decrease in volume and overall sound quality. I’m running hertz pro in the doors and a jl 8. Could just be a difference of if opinion. What sounds “good” to one person can sound very different to another. I keep my fade at 0 not really sure though how you don’t hear them considering the fronts are by your feet and the rears are right behind your head but each to his own. Overall for me it fills the space much better with the rears then without.

Maybe if I replaced he rears it may make a difference, but I’m happy.

As long as you got music and it sounds good to you that’s all that really matters.

Well, I was wrong. Rode in a truck with rear speakers and there was a big difference. Now looking for some 2 ways or 3 ways for the rear.
