Yep, that’s exactly what I do. I don’t see a reason to spend money on anything else.

Yep, I do the same thing. I just hang it over the retainer, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

I’d like to know how she got where she’s going without the vehicle going up in flames or at the least, gasoline all over the place. Did the videographer think to offer her a bit of advice that this is not a good idea? Looks like she’s done this before, though. Yikes.

No that’s not Toyota’s solution that’s the door latch you’re hanging it on. Lots of people use that latch method though, been posted here many times. The little loop on the tether allows for strain relief so you don’t break it.
i let mine hang down, a method I and others have used successfully for many years on many vehicles.

make sure to grease those fuel door hinges. Let those gas caps dangle.

That’s a good reminder about greasing the hinges, seen a few reports of bent doors. I need to do that.

It doesn’t need a mod. It doesn’t need solution. Just let it dangle. What’s so wrong with that?

The “Gas Hole” solves a problem that doesn’t exist, that’s why I got one .326D7909-6E5C-44D3-9B25-D3CDB181C8BF.jpg:cool:

^^Nice way to hold the cap. I suppose a lockable cap can also be put in there.

The LiftDcustoms has the phrase "Taco Sauce Only" & "Taco" on it which is cheesy but cool.

I just use the retainer for now and it works fine.
