I didn’t use a spacer. In my test, it didn’t seem to need it. I had the bumpstop squished against its spot on the frame and I had a good amount of room left on the shock.

Got my bumps set... Full compression just before the rubber bump pad on the shock hits the body of the shock.

That's the way it ended up, to set them at proper height. I'm thinking about some day maybe reworking the spacers and running @Timbren-Industries or Sumo. But for now, it sets me at the proper bumpstop height. Making the shocks not damage and keeping the tires from scrubbing the inner bed sides (too much).

My application isn't anywhere near a normal install. 10 inch travel shocks relocated, and raised as much as I could possibly raise the upper mount without cutting through the floor of the bed.

No I understood the reasoning behind it man. I’ve just never seen that big of a spacer for bumps before. Big enough to slap a sticker on it looking like hydro bumps lol

How does the shock relocation ride? Was it worth it? I’m running extended travel fox 2.0’s in the rear with remote resi’s in the rear myself and I’ve been thinking about relocating.

It rode great with the All Pro Expo leafs, except when I was really loaded. The All Pros just didn't have enough lift and weight rating for my set up. I went to Alcan +4 with +700 pounds and now it's even better.

It gets way better travel with the 10 inch relocated shocks.

The relocation was 100% worth it. Especially having boxed and reinforcing the frame while I was relocating them.

I've been looking at boxing the c channels myself. have you noticed anything in particular from that in terms of the driving and handling?

Not sure I can honestly say I have "noticed anything"... But I run at near 6000 pounds, a lot, and I don't have a lot of body roll.

Also, I've seen the fatigue that can happen when running these things heavy with no extra reinforcement, and I don't have any evidence of frame stress... even with flexing pretty good while loaded.

I've got extended travel 2.5" RR shocks with Timbren Offroad bump stops. As the truck sits there's 5" of down travel on shock shaft/ 2.5"-3"space between bump stop and frame depending on weight carried. From what i can tell the bump stops look like they should keep the shock from bottoming out. Your thoughts?

How much do timbrens squish when hit? Looks like you have 2.5” of travel left before you first hit the bump stop and about 4” left on the shock. The last inch or so usually doesn’t count. Atleast not in my books. So as long as those timbrens don’t compress more than an inch or so you should be alright

Looks like it's a close call... amount of deflection (compression) is 2.25". I could be wrong but it looks like the shock and bumpstop will bottom out close to the same time? Hoping i'm wrong.

Looks like it’s cutting it pretty close. I’m curious if they have some sort of spacer to extend that bump stop up a little higher. I’d rather lose an inch of down travel if it means not bottoming out the shock.

contacted Timbren... they don't make spacers for the active offroad bump stops. Since i've never actually bottomed out might just go with it as is....

I’m sorry, but this is the only photo I have on my phone currently.
I cut a piece of pipe and extended my timbrens according to what I needed
