I’ll have to go down an measure tomorrow. Not sure what it comes out to with the new hangers. Is the picture you attached at ride height? You bumps hangs pretty far below the frame as well.

    Going stong since 2016.

I guess I've been lucky with mine. 1 piece .120 wall dom and I've cruised at 85 for a few hours on a trip quite a few times.

I hate this is the only question I have for you right now, but what’d you do for taillights? Haha im looking at some 6” ovals they use on big rigs and trailers. Not really sure how three pins equals turn signal, brake light and running light. Unless high gets turn signal and brake input.

I have a buddy that uses trailer lights. He hooked into the trailer wiring harness as that's the only way to get blinker and brake lights in one bulb that we have found. I used a led light I found on Amazon for mine.

Very good to know. I’ve been looking at truggy builds to see how I want to build my bed. I had no idea there were this many Tacomas doing it. Takes some guesswork out of it.

Just about got all 5lbs of ship in the 1lb bag. I knew I’d have to redo some things with the inner fenders. I never thought I would have to redo everything! But it’s given me the opportunity to refine things even more. Should be firing it off today. It’s been in pieces for about a month and some change now.

That's all flatbed towtrucks (or anything new at least). That's the preferred way to tow it's fast, less chance of damaging a vehicle, and safe.

these had reverse, blinker and brake as well as on with headlights at night. I just separated which wire was which from the original tail lights and wired them up. Needed a resistor and a diode in line.

Anybody in here running a steering quickener? Or anybody wishing they had quicker steering with LT? Trying to decide if it’s the right route to go. I know Harry said it makes the wheel heavier which I am personally a fan of. Just not sure on the rest.

No time like the present to get started. Any reason I shouldn’t chop the frame right past the hanger? Don’t think any other leaf suspension is going to mount further back than that. Links obviously don’t matter back there. Any way to shorten the filler neck?

That’s where my frame is cut for my bob.

The only consideration is what you’ll do for a rear bumper. Mine ties into my hanger bolts.

With Harry saying it made the steering wheel heavier I bet that was not compared to stock but heavier than it is with the Howe steering. The Howe steering makes the steering very light. It took me at least a week to get used to how light it felt. That is stock width and 285/75/17 BFG K02's. I think it comes down to how much you might struggle with direction changes when drifting in the desert.

Ive been considering the quickner myself lately. With the speeds I can run now I’ve really noticed how much steering input I need to use to keep the truck tracking the direction I want to in the dirt. The obvious answer is the quickner.

If you end up going 63s or a longer leaf pack it'll be quite a bit further back.
