    @6 gearT444E I have a question about diodes as I've never used them. Are they only necessary on the + circuit? I want my reverse lights to trigger from the reverse circuit or from my SPOD with a strobe module inline and would use the diodes to isolate each circuit.

    typically they are used on the positive side of the circuit as they have a ~0.6V forward bias, you will connect the anode to the positive source. You can think of it as a check valve for electronics, preventing backfeed to where you don't want current flow. Not to be confused that the electrons themselves flow from the negative terminal to the positive.

    I have one more follow-up question about picking a diode. This one is advertised as a 45V diode but is it ok to only run 12v through it? Or is that a diode-specific thing? The lights only draw .9A each. In the reviews people say they use them on 12v systems but who knows if that's an ok thing to do.
