The passenger door was unlocked, so I went in for a closer look...

 

The easiest way to narrow down the year of a 2005-2010 Tacoma, without getting confronted by an angry and suspicious owner, is to glance at the radio; All 2005-2008 models (this one is a 2007) have the radio seen in the pictures, which in my opinion was a downgrade from what came in the last 1st Gens since it lacked both a cassette player and an AUX input...

How in the hell were you supposed to plug your iPod into a stock 2005-2008 Tacoma radio?!?!



A revised radio with a slightly different control layout and an AUX input came along for the 2009 model year; My 2010 came with this and while it suited me well for the first three years I had the truck, it was shit compared to what I've got now...

 

$25k, no low balling, we know what we got.

 

That said, in my opinion access cabs with manual windows are RARE...

@Taco critter, yours is an SR5, right? Even though it has manual windows?

Up until 2004 it was possible to get an SR5 with manual windows, but beginning with 2005 they became mandatory on all SR5s except the regular cab, which was never available with power windows; It would seem, based on trucks I've seen in the wild, that power windows and locks became standard on ALL 2nd Gen access cabs for the 2009 model year, as I've never seen a 2nd Gen AC with the revised radio and crank windows...

 

If this truck has less than 125K miles, that's probably not far off the mark from what this dealer will charge!

 

I could not tell if the frame had been replaced; It was definitely not a new frame, but this truck's replacement period ended no later than early 2019 based on it's manufacture date (December 2006)...

 

It even had Cooper Discoverer AT/3s!

 

They might try, but I’d be shocked if it sells for that. Retailed new 15 years ago for low 20’s. Market is getting out of control.

 

Also, this one gave me a "ridden hard, put away wet" vibe...

 

Also, this same dealer had a used 2020 Corolla LE on the lot for almost $30K!

 

I reached across the center console and unlocked the driver's side door...

 

Such a shame. Sloane Toyota used to be decent. I guess they drank too much COVID cool-aid.

 

I ran the VIN on this '07; The truck has been in Pennsylvania it's whole life, it's got a clear title, and the last reported odometer reading was 137K and change when it passed an emissions test back in 2020. I have no idea why there is no record after the registration was renewed in February 2021...

 

I've currently got a little over 143K miles on my 2010; I'm guessing that this truck has about the same mileage as my truck at this point...

 

My red lock sticker thingy fell off; This one just turned yellow...

 

Hard to tell if they're gonna clean this truck up and put it on the lot, or send it to the wholesale auction...

 

Under the hood, it was relatively clean compared to the rest of the truck...
