    If you haven’t already seen it, then I would suggest NOT watching it first. There are some similarities, but also enough differences to make this one a good stand-alone movie. And at the same time you’ll be ticked that they didn’t finish this movie the way the original did.

    I would say no, even though this one doesn’t “finish” the story like the 1984 version it does a better job at building the backstory and does a way better job introducing and setting up the main characters. If part 2 is as good as part 1 it’ll tell the overall story much better than the original IMO.

    Just because she sounds or looks good doesn't mean she can move and fight. These characters are physical as well as cerebral, and have to be able to believably inhabit this world.

    Pedro doesn't do all of the stuff we see Mando doing in the show...but we know he can.
