2022 NorCal Wheeling, Camping, and Fuckery Thread

First in!!! Lol

 

We took a little drive part way up cottonwood road today. The weather was perfect and the snow was funky. I haven’t played much in the white stuff, and it is fun while you are moving. A good time was had by all and we got to enjoy pulling a jeep or two out. We unstick the tacos without having to resort to the winch. Thanks @essjay @Impoy47 @Kwikvette for the great time. And thanks @El Taco Diablo for the excellent suggestion and help getting us there.

Thanks @Blue Canary , @essjay , and @Kwikvette for rolling with you guys today. Didn't expect that much snow up there! @El Taco Diablo wish you were there! with some Jeeps in front got stuck up the 3no7. Anywho, it almost became unpassable thereafter. Still had an awesome great day. Winched out a Jeep. Did my good deed for the year.. Hah!

 

Damn it... I wish I could have gone.

I totally didn't want to be the flaker, and dip out you guys. But I have so damn much work to do. And some of those maintenance issues I was talking about yesterday definately need to be addressed before I fuck around in the snow.


But... I did not waste the day. I made some big progress on the rig today. Many loose ends were tied up today.

@El Taco Diablo You were missed. I think that the jeeps in front of us would have pissed you off. I know I was a bit grumbly before we decided that we were tired of waiting on them to move on down the trail. And they were tearing up the tracks and making it just shitty to drive through.

Hah! I was gonna say the same thing! @El Taco Diablo, you would have been cussing them Out! Some Chevys and Ford guys came down and said that they fucked up the trail so bad that there's not a line or even a trail passable up there! Took them two hours to get out where they got stuck..

Fuck, I wish I had gone. But I'm hella happy with what I got done today. It was fricken perfect weather today.

I'm down for another Mod Day.

@essjay still has his big brakes to do and a rear bumper on the way.

@Impoy47 has a rear bumper on the way.

@mcleod209 has a front bumper to do.

We're gunna have to get a good sized group to bang everything out in a day.

 

I always carry tools so always down to help do installs.

I only need to do a small job of tie rod ends, lower ball joints, and passenger cv axle seal.

@essjay didn't need big brakes today; he did the "brake cooling" mod with all that snow packed between his wheels and brakes
