Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Good morning friends! Heck of a wind/rain/sleet storm here last night and this morning. Snow is supposed to start soon.

Been off 2 weeks, I work 2 days here at the shop and I'm off to work the store with the kids while the wife heads out to Colorado for a Norwex business something or other from weds. to sat.

 

Had ice on the Tacoma this morning, that wind is something isn't it

Yeah man, I've been waiting to hear a tree fall on the house.

 

I don’t turn the computer off on the milling machine, I remember why now. The power went out sometime while we were gone and I haven’t got it to come back on yet. Just the grey screen with a couple lines.

 

Uh oh , hope a surge didn't get it.

 

It does this every time the power goes out, hopefully it'll come on soon.

 

Switched over to snow now.

 

Our 5-7" of snow turned into 1/2", unless I've been measuring wrong...

Black Bettys 1st snow since I’ve owned it.

 

Shane, do you have those led lights uptop ran straight to your starter battery with a fuse inline or are they fed by a second battery? I figure they prolly dont pull enough to need a second battery. I want to do something similar when I get my top rack installed.

 

I only have one battery, I ran them to the front with a switch inside the cab fed from the fuse box. They don't pull much juice at all.

 

My CC permit expires in May, I went to renew it, filled out all the stuff and it said "can't renew before 90 days of expiration"

Holy crap, 266MHZ! I think that was the speed of my first computer!

That machine is much more modern than the ones I used to work on. We're talking about stuff from the late 70's and 80's, green text screens and all. The controls and relays were interesting to say the least. I'm spoiled where I work now and everything is PLC.

 

This one is still running Windows '98
