I just broke one of my Makita batteries and I don't even know how. I went to put it in the charger and it wouldn't click in - the plastic surrounding the connector is broken off. Fortunately, it was one of my 4.0s and you can usually get two 4.0s with a tool for the same price as two 4.0s with nothing. Not that I want to spend money to replace a battery that would have had at least a couple years left, but it's a good excuse to get another tool!

So, I started looking at what I could use- oscillating multitool-out of stock, orbital sander-out of stock, jig saw-out of stock, heck, even the jobsite Bluetooth radio is out of stock!

I won't really notice being down a battery until spring, so hopefully by then one of the tool/battery kits is back in stock. I cycle out two batteries while my other two charge so I have no downtime with my weedwacker and hedge trimmer.

    Happy New Year.

    Got in early this morning.
Glad I didn't come home to snow, ice, and sand....
Hopefully things dry out enough to remove the Softopper for the winter while there is no salt, etc on it.

I think I got lucky. In VT if a plate number goes 6 months beyond the expiration date (I think that's right) it's available again. VT doesn't make the availability of a vanity plate easily found, but there are some external sites that seem to do a decent job. The one I found showed it as unused when I was looking to transfer the registration, so I took a chance, requested it, and got it.

Currently getting an oil change, there's a 2021 toyota sequoia trd sport.....for 58k with damn cloth seats. What the heck. My parents first gen sequoia was 43k and had everything but the DVD player and gold badges lol.

    Happy New Year

So I sprayed under the truck with woolwax a couple months ago for the winter. Now I have a lot of dirt and mud under the truck some of which is from the last couple weekends. Should I wash the underside of the truck at the risk of washing away some of the woolwax or leave it alone?

Leave it. The dirt and debris doesn't do much just sitting attached to the woolwax.

If it really bothers you, you can wash it, but like you said, it risks washing some of the woolwax off.

Adds protection. I'd just leave it. My tacoma gets sprayed in early May and the end of May I go up to Maine and get the frame covered in fine sand dirt. Seems to help keep the fluid film/woolwax on the frame better as well

Yes the redneck undercoat is to do used motor oil then go down a Dusty dirt road to coat it like that.

    Leave it.
