:rofl:I'm sorry man.....first post I read after logging in this morning. I'd say that qualifies as clueless for sure. Putting it nicely even.

Goodmorning all. I had to get up and visit Dr just regular checkup.
Stopped and picked up miscellaneous stuff from the store. Don't take long to drop $135.00 anymore, that don't include $23.00 on 22LR I spent either. I kind of like those 100 packs of 22 the kind with hard plastic case. Winchester and CCI, these were Winchester.
I've been thinking more and more lately about building a shop...just so close to having the place paid off....but just think how nice it be to have a large, well insulated shop with climate control.

That kind of boggles my mind sometimes considering some of the neighboring states take on things. Cool though!
I just looked the other day to see where my permit is honored. On my trip to Michigan the only state on route is Illinois that don't honor it.
Mine is due this October and we have the 90 day rule here too. If you let it laps it requires another training course which equates to more $$$

Our N.C. permits are honored in most states.

Little bit of this and that
Not sure your thoughts on ordering tires online but I've used simpletire.com for a number of years (4+ sets of tires) and have had great results.

Yes, I had originally had the training course that I could have gotten both of those too, but just had hopes more states would have reciprocity...they have to extent.

I have several times! Usually Tire Rack but have also ordered right from Amazon. It was a quite a surprise to find those Mickey Thompson ATZp3's 35" were available much cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else. They on Jeep

Re: poll, there was some hero in lowes who shot himself in the leg with his ccw last weekend. My first question was why was he carrying with one in the pipe, then i thought how lucky he was to not have shot an employee or a kid, a bystander of any kind.
We don’t have to have a permit here, but I kept mine because there are incentives written into the law for permit carriers.

Foot problems are serious bad news for older folks, I hope he is seeing a doctor.
Even though we don't "know" this guy he is kind like part of the family, like the eccentric uncle many folks have.

I hope he's okay too, I've been out here in the shop with him for 26+ years, he's a good guy and a heck of a machinist

He's not overweight but he smokes like a freight train.

Went thru a similar foot thing years back til they figured it out. Steroids galore for the first while. Now it’s just a simple shot every couple weeks & it’s all good. Problem is the Med. price is sky high. Glad my plan covers it. :)

Arizona has some very laid back laws regarding...I was once told that it was still in the law books you had to be carrying to enter the state...old west days.
Now that being said, I once stopped in a Circle K (like a fuel station on every corner down there) and there's this greasy looking feller with a Desert Eagle hanging 3/4 out his back pants pocket o_O
Thought occurred to me to yank it out his pocket and pistol whip him with it:rolleyes: flipping idiot

I came from an upbringing of "pay cash, get a receipt" and I tend to agonize over debt or spending money in general.

On the other hand, I bet that next week you will be older than you are today.

I knew a decently employed fellow who spent 5 years saving money by crawling around in the gravel driveway at his paid for house because he wanted to pay cash for a garage. He finally saw the light and got a loan, but he lost 5 years use of the building as he waffled and later developed some health issues.

If can you get something you need (or want) in a financially responsible fashion and have the use (or enjoyment) of it for a longer time then responsible debt isn't such a bad thing in my opinion.

This said by a guy who was told he would squeeze the buffalo off a nickel... @Delta09 :p:rofl:

I'm sketched out on buying tires online and then finding someone to mount them. Shops around here REALLY frown on that. There's a place in town that sells tires at cost add the mount/balance. A set of Cooper Discoverer AT3's in 265-70-16 out the door tax and all is $744. Not too bad.

Shops around here offer free mounting/balancing/rotations/flat repair when you buy from them, otherwise it's about $20/tire to mount and balance.

That's the way it is around here. I got a buddy who used to own a tire shop, he said the markup on tires isn't much at all. I assume because there is so many places that sell them, not really sure.

That is a great deal!
Tire Rack offers that tire for 759.96/4 but then you would have to pay mount/balance/disposal.

Now, it'll likely be a couple hundred more twords the end of the year when I finally do replace them. But, still not too terrible.

I will say I was spoiled by paying only $385 for a set of tires installed on the beater

I don't have the option of waiting, this Spring I have to buy some tires if I'm going to drive the truck. :(
The original Toyo tires only have a tread wear rating of 300 so I don't think 38k without a vibration or puncture was a bad run on them.
