It's gotta be a scroll wheel, not a knob or a button, but a wheel, so that with one flick on my index finger I can blast my music so loud everyone in the house rolls their eyes and heads to the other end.

General question: have component (MOBO/CPU/RAM) prices dropped back to pre-pandemic levels yet? My last build was in 2019, and I have another I've been waiting to build once the prices come back within reason. No rush, I can wait.

Definitely no, no they have not.

Edit: Maybe I should elaborate rather than just be cheeky.. you can find things at MSRP, but you have to put in the work for it, IMHO. CPU's have gotten easier to find (unless you're looking for the very newest Intels) but ram prices are still stupid. MOBO prices are eh.

wait how many of you play halo? I just started up again and I feel like I'm in highschool the gameplay is so good.

Back then I had a bunch of 50 accounts and no not just from team doubles. Still decent with a BR too :)

Well the 2nd phase of my build will start this weekend! Last 360 rad came in!

    2C981C0A-160D-4B3C-BDFF-99560D615937.jpg

I already threw the fans in and transferred everything to my new case. It was a 5000D but I bought the airflow panels separate so I can run both.

haha the other one not pictured is a 27" and is my main monitor. I gave my wife my other 27" since she's 100% WFO and I'm using a free one we had laying around.

I'll upgrade monitors when I upgrade the GPU. Still deciding on that though :D

Got rid of my waterblocked system I had issues with the seals on EKWBs newer AM4 stuff with their own pump. Warranty was a bit of a nightmare as well.

I'm just running an AIO now on a 12700K.

It's actually a heat killer tube 200 D5 resi, but that is indeed the "self-sealing" leak check vacuum pump thing, it's just the standalone version.

Yeah I saw all the reviews with people punching holes in tubes lol. Looked pretty cool.

Might I ask why you didn't go with a 3090 active backplate, especially since it's an EVGA card?

Edit: Nevermind, that pic didn't load lol.

Gotcha.. Bored so I'm thinking of the next unnecessary thing I want to do with my computer...
Either water cooled with EKWB (mostly because I want the active backplate)
Or maybe go full Noctua brown... (NF-A12x25/NH-D15) ... These...
