    That’s not good.
Looks like another rebuild with a new oil pump. Use stp or assembly Lube. Double check you didn’t put bearings in wrong position. Pre oil it before you fire it off.
I’ve seen a bad pump install wedged the rotor on the crank. Better check the top end of course. Mmmmmm make sure o rings are all there.

I just got back from the emergency vet dropping a puppy off that had been bitten by a larger dog on Christmas. The owners did not take the puppy to the vet and finally surrendered it to the shelter today. After it had gotten so infected it chewed its own leg off! I have pictures but you probably don’t wanna see them.

That is a beautiful scene! I was hoping to see some of that, the storm shifted south so Southern MD/DC/ NoVa got the snow this time. All I had was cold and wind.

"Double check you didn’t put bearings in wrong position." There is nothing wrong with double checking, triple checking or quadruple checking.

"Pre oil it before you fire it off" I am assuming that the oil system gets pressurized before running the engine.

"Looks like another rebuild with a new oil pump. Use stp or assembly Lube."
    Assembly lube

    I always appreciate the advice.
One thing is that this engine was completely clogged with sludge when I initially disassembled it. The oil pickup tube was uncommonly full of sludge on both sides of the protective screen.
This time I will pay closer attention to the crankshaft and engine block.

Did you put air in the tires? Windshield wiper fluid topped off?

    That's all I got

Can we let a dog chew on the former owners leg and then leave it alone?
