Agreed. I know where I can stand on the GX as well (tires, bumper, sliders etc). Gets a little dicey when it's wet or muddy though.

Not only is the Taco more utilitarian, but way more fun to drive as well. Unfortunately for me, my wife and I travel with 250lbs worth of dog. An SUV makes the most sense space wise for them as they don't fit well in the Taco...

I could use a copilot, not sure if a Bernese mountain dog would appreciate my brand of wheeling though. Very cute though

I told the wife that once these guys are gone, I'm going to have a 50lb limit on future doggos. The big guys take up too much space and can be a handful. Sure would be nice to have a corgi only taking up lap space.

    @Abeyancer

Working on my fancy belt polishing machine. Some would say "Refurbished and ready to run", even.

    Yup.

Wishing I hadn't taken this cover off. Now I know I need to spend $40 on a pulley and idler to expect anything good out of it. It already sucked ass.

Marlin Crawler order is still delayed in the DFW area. Now I’m worried. Need those locking hub studs. I’ve run bolts in place of those studs before but would rather not.

Toyota discontinued them and you have to make sure and get the shorter kind. Marlin is the only place I could find not charging $100+ for 12 studs.

Hahaha that's awesome! My rally car of choice watching em when I lived in England was the audi Quattro

    2006FOS_1985AudiQuattroS1PikesPeak.jpg

Something about it just stood out to me.. enough that in high school, I was a VeeDub fanatic and thought nothing was better than German engineering.

It probably didn't help that I got to see a Mk2 golf at a British tech where the owner took a second 16v motor and trans and made it run the rear wheels. Sumbish was twin engine "all wheel drive" but he mated it to a single gear shifter:laughing:

That was probably the beginning of the the downhill trend that is my "redneck shadetree" engineering

While you're in there I STRONGLY recommend getting a stiffer spring for the idler arm.. it'll wear a belt out quicker, but you'll notice it "eats" snow alot easier

    Just my 2$

Is that what the ad said? Cause I've met those types coming through my shop... change the oil and air filter, grease the starter pawls, and it starts up with no more than 2 pulls? It's "refurbished"

Heaven forbid it starts first pull.... then the fucker is "just like brand new" or only "used one season"

"Listen here Barry. I can read a date code, and that fucker is older than the day I started masturbating. You can see my age from this salt and pepper hair, and let me tell you this, Barry... I've been beatin' meat so long, that first splooge was drier than a nun fartin' at Mass for Easter Passover."
    -me, probably.
