absolutely. ARB makes an incredible locker. But also with all the extra things with the ARB you run into more chances for problems. It would make a bad day if your needed your locker and your compressor stopped working or you ripped a air line off.

    No.

They are 2 different lockers for 2 different applications. Some daily drivers may need/want a selectable locker for street friendliness. Other trucks, like mine, need a locker that is simple and reliable.

ok i feel like i have been beatin this question to death on the forums so here is the deal. . . i want a powertrax lockright not the no slip for finacial reasons. will this thing be streetable with out fucking up anything on my truck real bad? i know im gonna hear the gears overrun and all that but am i gonna have messy tire wear or problems turning sharply with this locker installed. mostly concerned about turning under light to moderate throttle (i.e. turning onto a street or in a parking deck)? dont really care about weird noises just more worried about mechanical reliability.
    thanks

If you can afford the lockrite, I would suggest saving a couple more dollars and get the no slip. I can't speak for the characteristics of a lockrite other than I hear it's very noisy.
Your best bet would be to browse the "lockrite" forums.

 ~ I have only driven the standard Lock Rite not the No slip. I'm curious as to the behind the wheel difference. I also wonder if you couldn't just replace the standard springs with No Slip springs unless their is a subtantial design difference?

Where did you order yours from? I ordered through summit and it took them about a week to get their hands on it, and about 5 days to get it to me.

the wag condition shouldn't be a problem since i drove my freinds 510 horsepower gto for a month while a built a new engine for my car at the time. really doubt my four banger taco will be as squirlly as that car was. My god was that thing fun to drive though. could break the rear tire on the highway just by putting in to the floor at 80mph.

I would go with NoSlip if you can. Lockright is great but on manuall truck can give you hard time. Especially pulling out of the drive when you need turn, or the worst is when making S-turns (like parking) . If you have Auto then its not going to be as bad, but with manual tranny takes time to get used to . I watched mechanic almost crash my pickup at Toyota because he got "surprised". I went to get inspection done and they refused due to safety issue with my truck. I explained to them it has lock right but they insisted my rear end is busted .
I went to another shop to get inspection but thats just warning on severity of wag/buckling truck does.

well all we have around here is emissions so that shouldn't be an issue
