I think that’s an okay deal. I see the fuel tool only go for $100 on ebay/Craigslist/offer up. But if u need the kit, it kinda makes sense.

Also recently see the DeWalt 20v osc tool with battery kit for $99 at lowes

Anyone else’s M12 charger get warm when charging batteries?

I just got the M12 Stubby impact w/4.0 battery. The charger gets pretty warm when it’s charging. And it has a smell.

What weird is that I pulled it out to check and see if the battery was hot. (It wasn’t)
And when I put it back it. The charger said the battery was fully charged. Weird.
The impact also said it was full too. So maybe I pulled it out just as it was “full”?

Or maybe Milwaukee is like Apple and won’t charge the battery if it’s 80% or more full.

I've found the chargers run warm. I did notice a slight smell when new, but that went away.

Still a handful of m12 stuff left to hang but it's getting there.

    Nice setup!

I take the “Belt Clip” off all mine.
That thing is in the way more than it is useful to me.

I LOVE this chainsaw! It is super handy - and I am always surprised at how little battery it consumes.
I go to put it back and even after doing a good amount of yard work, it still is only one or two bars from full

    Good call - enjoy!!

Thanks! This is actually part of a workbench I built in my home "office" for all my little various tinkering projects. I keep most of the expensive toys inside in case the garage ever gets broken into or otherwise stolen from :)

    That is really nice!!

I need to just pony up and f**ing pick a spot/start working on a bench/org system out there..
The workbench setup/progress has suffered from analysis paralysis

I do keep all my tools put away in their cases + tools in the box, organized + I have a basket for all tools that have not been put away, so things can only be one of a few places ;)

I just lack basic wood working skills, but not for lack of access to tools and I am not stupid- if I apply myself, I can sort it out + Youtube is an excellent instructional aide..
So I need to just start, accept that I will screw up but it is repairable + WTF am I procrastinating for - -

I used to live a place that necessitated keeping the tools in the house - that totally sux to have to worry about that kind of stuff; had a 92 Prelude V/Tech stolen from right under my window back in the day..
Police didn't look for it and found it 2 days later, ghetto stripped in the church parking lot a mile away..
I do not miss living in FL

Now I live far away from others, if someone is out on my property or in my cul/da/sac that isn't supposed to be there - they won't make it off the street in one piece
Between my Rott/Cane Corso + neighbor's territorial pit bull + other neighbor's 2 dobies + the sheriff + god knows how many firearms = good luck with that
Every now and again we get a new person in the 'hood' who will walk back here - it only happens once and they never return -
Every now and again a car that does not belong rolls back here and all of us take note -
I like that my neighbors are as paranoid as I am about that kind of thing..

That blower is awesome. We use it around the mill to blow sawdust off of machines and in the shop to move all the chips/dirt from one end to the other in right quick fashion.

Do it! Just start building. I like to use Google Sketchup to plan because it's free and relatively easily to learn... I'm like you in that I get so hung up on planning phases that nothing ever happens. Google sketch up helps me visualize everything and get over the planning phase... eventually you hit a point where you just gotta build.

My first project was these bunk beds for my kids... https://imgur.com/gallery/MriJX

so I ended up returning the M12 and purchased the M18. Sanded some stuff today and can’t believe I didn’t have this in my collection sooner

So I just sat down and went thru those photos and you did an amazing job. I love the use of that otherwise odd space in the room.

I appreciate seeing the screw ups, that helps with my mental hesitance -

I appreciate it :) Honestly it was kind of refreshing to screw up along the way because the more it happened and turned out ok the more I enjoyed the process and was able quit tripping on "sticking to the plan". And now I find myself going at smaller projects without any plan... then "screw ups" instead become discoveries
