Sure, go to this link here and purchase it for $30 more than a pedal commander.

If you want to tune others, you'll need the pro upgrade as well. It's an investment but it will pay for itself after only a few customers.

    I might consider it.
I'm having the dealership update my ECU with their new software. We'll see how well that works?
But I still think there is a place for the PC due to the fact that it can alter how your truck drives in real time as you are driving using your smart phone.

LOL! Calm down. You are aware that these trucks have a learning function? A lot of those things can be self adjusted by the ECU over time.
Again I'm having the dealership update the software on my truck. (for FREE!) We'll see if that resolve most if not all the same issues as the tune?
(I still like the PC and that was what the OP was asking about.) I believe it does have a useful place for the 3rd gen? (That's my personal opinion.)

The tune also has a useful place with the 3rd gen. But that wasn't what the OP was asking about!

So you say it does something (push the pedal harder), but also say it's a placebo (which means it does nothing). So which is it?

That's one of the great things about having the tune kit. You can update your ECU if you want.
Pedal commander can only change the accelerator response. The tune can change so much more. Yes, you're limited to no real time edits, but after tuning, you likely won't feel the need to do any of that.

OMG! This thread is NOT asking about tunes!
There a huge thread just for discussing tunes. May be you should check it out and post over there?
Again this is thread is specifically asking about people's experience with the "Pedal Commander" "Tune" is Not one of the possible choices in the Poll.

I've had mine for 2 years. Works like a champ and the pedal response is amazing from stock.

If you have used one and call it a placebo then I am not sure that I can believe you. But in the end does it matter? I have a Sprint Booster (similar product), like it and would buy it again.

I guess @Tacotoast had Schrodinger's Pedal Commander. Can simultaneously do something and nothing at the same time.

Why spend money on one of these when you can get a tune for ~$100 more that will actually fix the shifting, increase HP and improve MPG's?

What is so fascinating after reading all the comments is that part of a tune (and probably one that everyone feels the most) is a change in the accelerator angle data table. Pedal Commander has a similar effect and is user adjustable on the fly(quite handy). My newer motorcycles all have rain mode, touring mode and sport mode. All throttle angle data changes. On the tunes discussed on TacomaWorld, some of the options available are how you want the throttle to react(sport, normal, lite). Of course the tunes attempt to tweak many other parameters to make a better driving experience, but the change in throttle angle is a lot of what the butt dyno feels at first drive.

If all someone wants is a little faster throttle response to get the ecm to dump a little more fuel quickly to match the extra air, it is a good choice if you find one on sale especially. I tried a friends, it worked nicely for what I want, so I will watch for a good sale. It works like my motorcycle touring and sport mode, and I like that for the right price, especially that it can be changed on the fly and removed in 3 minutes or less. I am not convinced that Toyota has done a bad job balancing fuel economy, reliability and drive ability. I am not ready to get a tune for those reasons. Their engineers know an awful lot about how to make a car last a long time and they know a lot about all of the sensors and programming works. A tunable throttle experience for a few bucks may be worth it to some. Its a personal decision and we should support each other that only want a pedal commander. They do work...
